  • Patent number: 12064697
Abstract: A gamified application is provided for users to feed animated virtual characters with images of real-world food items. The images fed to the virtual characters are to be uploaded to a data store in a cloud environment, for use in training a custom machine learning model. A server in the cloud environment receives a photo of a food item fed to a virtual character in an augmented reality environment in the gamified application executing on a user device, invokes the custom machine learning model to generate classification information for the photo, sends the classification information to the user device for verification by a user, and stores the verified information to the data store used for periodically training the machine learning model. Over time, the data store would include a large volume of food images with label data verified by a large number of users.

  • Publication number: 20240111421
Abstract: Connection modification based on traffic pattern is described. In accordance with the described techniques, a traffic pattern of memory operations across a set of connections between at least one device and at least one memory is monitored. The traffic pattern is then compared to a threshold traffic pattern condition, such as an amount of data traffic in different directions across the connections. A traffic direction of at least one connection of the set of connections is modified based on the traffic pattern corresponding to the threshold traffic pattern condition.

  • Publication number: 20210304422
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is for generating a non-occluded image from images that are captured at multiple locations on a plane region parallel to a surface of a target object. Each of the images includes the target object and an occluding object. The images include first and second images. The computer-implemented method includes performing a feature detection on the first image to obtain keypoints in the first image, aligning the first image with a reference image using the obtained keypoints in the first image and keypoints in the reference image, performing the feature detection on the second image to obtain keypoints in the second image, aligning the second image with the reference image using the obtained keypoints in the second image and keypoints in the reference image, and performing a pixel fusion on pixels of the aligned first image and pixels of the aligned second image to generate a fusion image.

  • Publication number: 20200275988
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for image to world registration for medical reality applications, using a world spatial map. This invention is a system and method to link any point in a fluoroscopic image to its corresponding position in the visual world using spatial mapping with a head mounted display (HMD) (world tracking). On a projectional fluoroscopic 2D image, any point on the image can be thought of as representing a line that is perpendicular to the plane of the image that intersects that point. The point itself could lie at any position in space along this line, located between the X-Ray source and the detector. With the aid of the HMD, a virtual line is displayed in the visual field of the user.
