  • Patent number: 10163121
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing targeted marketing to goods and services provides and consumer resource management services to consumers. An example system and method for targeted marketing comprises collecting transaction data from point-of-sale (POS) terminals and using a consumer identifier in the transaction data to access stored information about the consumer. This information may be used to target offers and advertisement to the consumer. In an example system for consumer resource management, a consumer may configure a consumer account on the enterprise infrastructure via a web-site. The consumer may use the consumer account to purchase and configure gift cards that may be used for purchasing goods and services. A universal transaction identifier may be associated with the consumer account and used to purchase goods and services from more than one selected goods and services providers.

  • Patent number: 10102395
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating users to create multi-faceted social media objects (e.g., text, images, videos, etc.) with one public facing front side and multiple secondary facets that have optional privacy controls are provided. Users can scroll down a feed and perform gestures on each social media object to transition them to flipsides to view optionally private content in an intuitive manner. Graphical animations for transitioning from the front side of the social media object to the secondary facets can be simultaneously viewed within the feed interface. This enables a user to create a publicly visible social media object and essentially hide a message on the flipside(s) for selected other users to access. The hidden message may be contextual to the public side.

  • Publication number: 20180239517
Abstract: A collaboration server enables users that are members of a network to upload, access, and edit clauses. The server provides, for viewing to a user, a clause on a user interface. In addition, the server can provide a one-click feature on the user interface that, when selected by a user, copies the clause while maintaining the formatting of the clause. When an additional user edits the clause, an updated version of the clause can be provided for viewing on an updated user interface. Here, the server disables the one-click feature of the prior version of the clause and provides a new one-click feature for the updated version of the clause. Therefore, each user that has access to the clause can avoid mistakenly working with an outdated version of the clause.

  • Patent number: 9994442
Abstract: Provided is a method of arranging particles on a substrate, the method including: (a) preparing a substrate, a surface of which has depressions or projections capable of fixing the positions and/or orientations of one or more particles; and (b) placing the particles on the substrate and applying a physical pressure to the particles so that a portion or the whole of each particle is inserted in each of pores defined by the depressions or the projections. Provided is also a method of arranging particles on a substrate, the method including: (a) preparing a substrate, at least a surface portion of which has adhesive property; and (b) placing particles, which do not have flat facets but curved surfaces, on the substrate and applying a physical pressure to the particles so that the particles are immobilized on adhesive surface portions of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9915853
Abstract: An OPO with very fast and accurate tuning. The angle of the crystals in the OPO is controlled by converting the linear motion of a voice coil into rotational motion. In preferred embodiments one or two OPO crystals are mounted as a crystal unit that can rotate around an axis such that the angle of the crystals with respect to the beams' direction can be varied to generate the desired wavelengths. The crystal unit has a lever that is connected to the shaft of the voice coil such that as the shaft extend or retracts the level is pulled or pushed and the linear motion of the shaft is converted to an angular motion of the crystal unit. The position of the voice-coil shaft is controlled in a close-loop based on a built-in encoder. The relation between the reading of the encoder and the crystals' angle is recorded and provides the calibration of the unit. Preferably calibration is done by measuring the output wavelength of the OPO as a function of the encoder position.

  • Patent number: 9722870
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system are directed toward configuring a dependency relationship between resources in a cluster. A dependency relationship between a dependent in a first resource group and a dependee in a second resource group is declared. The dependency relationship might include a locality based qualifier and/or a time based qualifier. The locality based qualifier includes a Local Node, Any Node, or From Resource Group Affinity relationship. The time based dependency qualifier includes a Strong dependency, Weak dependency, Online Restart dependency, or Offline Restart dependency. The declaration might be made using a graphical user interface, property list, configuration file, or the like. A candidate node on which to activate the first resource group is determined. The dependent is brought online on the candidate node based on whether an instance of the dependee is online on a node specified by the locality based qualifier.

  • Patent number: 9653175
Abstract: A number of techniques for determining defects in non-volatile memory arrays are presented, which are particularly applicable to 3D NAND memory, such as that of the BiCS type. Word line to word shorts within a memory block are determined by application of an AC stress mode, followed by a defect detection operation. An inter-block stress and detection operation can be used determine word line to word line leaks between different blocks. Select gate leak line leakage, both the word lines and other select lines, is consider, as are shorts from word lines and select lines to local source lines. In addition to word line and select line defects, techniques for determining shorts between bit lines and low voltage circuitry, as in the sense amplifiers, are presented.

  • Patent number: 9536617
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing peak power supply current in a non-volatile memory system that includes a plurality of memory die are described. In some cases, prior to a first memory die of the plurality of memory die performing a particular memory operation (e.g., a programming operation), the first memory die may poll other memory die of the plurality of memory die to determine a total peak power supply current for the plurality of memory die. In response to detecting that the total peak power supply current for the plurality of memory die is at or above a peak current threshold (e.g., more than 200 mA), the first memory die may delay the performance of the particular memory operation or slow down the performance of the particular memory operation.
