  • Publication number: 20160265495
Abstract: A projection of a suction end cover has an outer circumferential surface serving as a sealing surface to be connected with a suction filter. A suction flow path is configured by an introduction hole in a bottomed cylindrical shape, and a connection hole. The introduction hole extends from the distal end of the projection of the suction end cover toward a pump chamber. The connection hole connects the introduction hole and the pump chamber. The introduction hole has a bottom surface that is located axially between a slide inner surface of the suction end cover and a bottom surface of a recess. The suction flow path can be increased in sectional area enough to reach a position in immediate front of the pump chamber with no change in outer diameter of a housing. By reducing fuel flow speed in the suction flow path and suppressing negative pressure in the suction flow path, generation of fuel vapor in the suction flow path can be inhibited even in a large flow rate area.

  • Publication number: 20160268937
Abstract: A microcomputer of a drive control device for controlling the driving of a brushless motor has a positioning part and a torque acceleration control unit. The positioning unit controls the power to be supplied to the windings, to thereby position the rotor at a drive start position which is a position of the rotor relative to the stator at which the drive control of the brushless motor can start, before starting the drive control of the brushless motor. The torque acceleration control unit controls the power to be supplied to the windings so that a torque acceleration falls within a predetermined range that the collision stress generated when the outer wall of the end of the shaft collides with the inner wall of the hole of an impeller (rotating member) is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, when the rotor is positioned.

  • Publication number: 20160208747
Abstract: An ECU of a fuel pump executes a feedback control to drive a motor part and sets a rotation speed of an impeller to become a rotation speed corresponding to the target fuel pressure. The ECU detects whether a vapor is generated in a fuel of a pump chamber of the fuel pump, based on a fuel pressure detected by a pressure sensor. When a generation of the vapor is detected, the ECU sets a rotation speed of the impeller to be higher than the rotation speed under a normal control for a predetermined time with a result that the vapor in the pump chamber and a fuel flow channel is discharged into a vapor discharge hole. Thus, the vapor of the pump chamber is discharged from the vapor discharge hole to an outside of the fuel pump.

  • Publication number: 20160201680
Abstract: A fuel chamber is formed between a pump arrangement and a motor arrangement, and outer flow passages are formed between a stator of the motor arrangement and a housing. Fuel, which is discharged from a discharge port of the pump arrangement, is outputted to an outside of the housing from a fuel discharge conduit that is formed on a side of the motor arrangement, which is opposite from the pump arrangement, after passing through the motor arrangement. At a time of performing electroplating on the stator, electrode contact portions, to which electrodes can contact, is formed in an outer wall of the stator, which forms the outer flow passages.

  • Publication number: 20160201692
Abstract: A bearing receiving portion includes a receiving space that receives a bearing, which rotatably supports an end portion of a shaft. The bearing receiving portion includes an intermediate inner diameter portion, which receives the end portion of the shaft, and a small inner diameter portion, which includes a column shape space having an inner diameter that is smaller than an outer diameter of the end portion. Fuel in an inside of a housing flows into or flows out relative to the receiving space. When the shaft is moved toward an upside, the fuel, which is accumulated in a space formed by a bottom wall, an inner wall and an end surface, functions as a damper to reduce a relative moving speed of the shaft relative to the bearing receiving portion.

  • Publication number: 20160201679
Abstract: Partitioned chambers of an electric connector, which receive connection terminals electrically connected to windings of a stator, are communicated with an outside of the electric connector through primary communication holes. The primary communication holes are formed to direct at least one of perpendicular directions, each of which is perpendicular to a corresponding one of opening planes of outside openings of the primary communication holes, toward a downside when a central axis of a fuel pump is tilted relative to a vertical direction. In this way, a foreign object, which is accumulated in any of the portioned chambers, can be outputted to the outside through the primary communication hole even when the fuel pump is tilted in any direction.

  • Publication number: 20160118918
Abstract: A drive controller that controls a drive of a motor. The drive controller performs a collision force moderation control during a motor start time, during which a collision force in a collision between a shaft outwall with an impeller hole inwall for a positioning is moderated, by changing a power supply at a stage transition time of transiting from a position detection to a position determination. The maximum value of a first output value during a position detection time is set to be greater than a first threshold that at least causes a rotation number of the motor to yield a detectable induction voltage. A second output value during a position determination time is set to be lower than a second threshold that causes a wear or a breakage of an impeller by the collision force.

  • Patent number: 9178397
Abstract: A motor part of a fuel pump is a brushless motor having a stator and a rotor. The stator has a core, a coil set and an insulator, which holds the core and the coil set in an insulated manner. The coil set has a plurality of coils wound about a tooth part and a plurality of crossing wires connecting the coils. The insulator is formed by stacking central ring parts of a plurality of stator units in an axial direction. At least one of crossing wire holder parts is formed of a combination of guide projections, which are formed on the different central ring parts. The length of the brushless motor in the axial direction can thus be shortened.

  • Publication number: 20150268408
Abstract: An LED classification device (21) classifies LEDs, the LEDs each including a combination of an LED element that emits a primary light and a phosphor that, upon excitation by the primary light, emits a secondary light having a longer wavelength than the primary light, the LEDs each emitting a combined light of the primary light and the secondary light, those ones of the LEDs whose primary lights having their chromaticities falling within a predetermined chromaticity range being classified as LEDs for use in a backlight of a liquid crystal display apparatus. A coefficient calculating section (26) and a corrected chromaticity calculating section (27) calculate, for all of the LEDs to be classified, correction values for the chromaticities as obtained on the assumption that the primary lights have traveled through a color filter of the liquid crystal display apparatus, and correct chromaticities by subtracting the correction values from chromaticities obtained for all of the LEDs to be classified, respectively.
