  • Patent number: 7512988
Abstract: In a data transmission apparatus and method of the present invention, a specific operator ID for an operator who uses a data processing device to process image data to be copied or transmitted, is selected. Specific owner IDs for owners who are authorized to access the image data, are selected. User identification data, inclusive of all operator IDs and owner IDs correlated to the data processing device, are stored in a storage device each time image data is captured by the data processing device. Allocation of the stored user identification data to each of the image data is managed by reading items of the user identification data from the storage device in response to the selections of the specific operator ID and the specific owner IDs and displaying the user identification data items.

  • Publication number: 20090051830
Abstract: A flexible LCD (2) is a flexible display. The flexible LCD (2) is pulled out from an upper cabinet to change a display area of the flexible LCD (2). An amount-of-sliding detecting section (4) measures the pullout amount (amount of sliding) of the flexible LCD (2) when the flexible LCD (2) is pulled out from a mobile terminal unit (1) or is retracted into the mobile terminal unit (1). A display controller (3) causes the flexible LCD (2) to display in a manner responsive to the amount of sliding that is measured by the amount-of-sliding detecting section (4). The foregoing makes it possible to utilize effectively the display having a display area that is revealed when the display is pulled out.

  • Publication number: 20080042156
Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device has a semiconductor light-emitting element for emitting light with emission wavelengths of 390 to 420 nm, wherein the wavelengths of light from the semiconductor light-emitting element are converted by a fluorescent substance having a monochromatic emission peak. The emission wavelengths of 390 to 420 nm, which have almost no adverse effect on human bodies and components of the semiconductor light-emitting device, are in a low human visibility range. Since light whose wavelengths are converted by the fluorescent substance are hardly affected by direct light from the semiconductor light-emitting element, light from the fluorescent substance has a favorable color tone. Also, the semiconductor light-emitting device allows desired luminous colors to be obtained only by changing fluorescent substance materials without changing the structure of the semiconductor light-emitting device or the semiconductor light-emitting element.
