Abstract: Disclosed is a process for producing a high &agr;G-AA content product, which comprises the steps of: contacting a solution as a material solution, containing &agr;G-AA, L-ascorbic acid, and a saccharides), with an anion exchange resin packed in a column to adsorb the &agr;G-AA and L-ascorbic acid on the anion exchanger; washing the anion exchanger with water to remove the saccharide(s) therefrom; feeding to the column an aqueous solution, as an eluent, of an acid and/or a salt with a concentration of less than 0.5 N to fractionate a fraction rich in 2-O-&agr;-D-glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid and a fraction rich in L-ascorbic acid; and collecting the former fraction.

Abstract: A carbapenem derivative represented by Formula I: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or a hydroxy protecting group; R.sup.2 is substituted or non-substituted lower alkyl; R.sup.3 is hydrogen, an inorganic or organic base, or a carboxy protecting group; and R.sup.4 is a compound represented by any of the following Formulae II through V: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are independently substituted or non-substituted lower alkyl.

Abstract: An apparatus for moving a lens between first and second positions, comprising; a support member means for supporting said lens, an electric motor connected to said support member means for moving said support member, a control circuit means connected to said motor for supplying a first current to said motor to move said support member means from said first position to said second position and vice versa and a second current to said motor to hold said support member means at least one of said first position and second position, said second current being smaller than said first current.

The system includes a reversibly rotatable motor the drivement and rotational direction of which are automatically controlled depending upon various conditions of the camera to implement required advancement of the film.
