    Abstract: An in-vehicle image correcting device for correcting an image picked up by a near-infrared camera ahead of one's own vehicle in which an obstacle is difficult for a driver to visually recognize captures the image picked up by the near-infrared camera; and corrects the image captured by the image capturing means so that a density of a pixel having a higher density than an obstacle density representative of the density of a pixel corresponding to the obstacle becomes lower than the obstacle density. In this configuration, the image picked up by the near-infrared camera is corrected so that the obstacle can be easily recognized.

    Abstract: An ion wind generator is arranged in the vicinity of a light source. The ion wind generator allows an air flow by negatively ionizing air by corona discharges using negative side needle electrodes, and drawing the negatively-ionized air using a ground side mesh electrode. High-temperature air surrounding the light source is drawn by the air flow and exhausted from an exhaust port at a rear side of a casing. An ozone decomposition catalyst filter is provided in the exhaust port. Ozone (O3) is generated by the corona discharges in the ion wind generator. However, the ozone is decomposed by passing through the ozone decomposition catalyst filter provided at the exhaust port.

    Abstract: The present invention provides as tarter capable of keeping a state where a pinion and a ring gear maintain meshing with each other when an engine stops without providing a plunger stopper using a solenoid or the like. The state where the pinion and the ring gear maintain meshing with each other in the engine stop mode continues by movement resistance which occurs when a torque transmission member moves. Concretely, an inclination angle of a helical spline in a helical spline engagement part is set so that the above state continues. The helical spline engagement part is a part where a helical spline on the outer periphery of an output shaft of a starter motor and a helical spline on the inner periphery of the torque transmission member mesh with each. Consequently, the above state continues without a plunger stopper using a solenoid or the like.

    Abstract: In a storage medium to which information is recorded by using a write head of an inductive type, in addition to a servo section in which servo information is recorded and a data section to which data is to be written, a write training section on which training write of pseudo-data is to be performed is disposed on a recording track. When the temperature is low, a write control unit writes the pseudo-data to the write training area and then writes data to the data area. By writing the pseudo-data to the write training area, a write core is heated and caused to project toward the medium surface side by thermal expansion, and the writing ability is enhanced; then, the data is written to the data section. A write training section is also disposed in front of a data section in a track of a system area of the storage medium, and, when the temperature is low, and when system information is to be written to the data section of the system area, pseudo-data is written to the write training section.

Trumpet-shaped guide portions are provided at hole edges of the wire fixing portions, and the V-shaped circumferential surfaces of a tensioner eliminates slack in the wires.

The magnetic disk unit includes a storage part to provide a buffer region that is usable as a data buffer, a reading part to read head information from a magnetic disk, and a control part to reserve a storage region in the storage part for storing the head information based on the maximum number of heads included in the head information. The control part also stores parameters with respect to the heads having the usable setting in reserved storage region, and releases a region of the storage part other than a storage region occupied by the parameters of the reserved storage region, when storing the head information in the storage part.

An ultraviolet ray from the light source (1) is introduced to a vent of the ion wind generator (20) by a first dichroic mirror (4) and a ultraviolet ray reflection mirror (17). Though air exhausted from the vent includes ozone (o3) produced by corona discharges, the ozone is decomposed by the ultraviolet ray.
