Abstract: The present invention provides a portable electronic apparatus. The portable electronic apparatus includes an input unit, a first controller, a second controller, a human interface device (HID), and a switch unit. The input unit generates input signals from a user. The first controller performs a first group of functional applications and generates a first group of functional interfaces. The second controller performs a second group of functional applications and also generates a second group of functional interfaces. The HID receives the input signals generated from the input unit and generates a control instruction. The switch unit receives the control instruction from the HID to switch between the first controller and the second controller. Accordingly, the first controller and the second controller perform corresponding functions.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of controlling light-emitting diode (LED) bright is provided. The electronic device includes a signal producing unit for producing an operation signal; a Micro Control Unit (MCU) configured for outputting a normal brightness control signal according to the operation signal, and outputting a ultra brightness control signal according to the operation signal when an actual idle time of the electronic device reaches or exceeds a predetermined idle time; a pulse current control unit for controlling an output current according to the normal brightness control and the ultra brightness control signal; and a LED illuminator array for emitting light based on the output current. The MCU terminates the output of the ultra brightness control signal when an actual time of outputting the ultra brightness control signals reaches a predetermined time, and then the LED illuminator array resumes its normally bright. A control method is also provided.

Abstract: An incoming call prompting method is provided. The method receiving an incoming call decoding the phone number of the incoming call so as to obtain a digit set from the phone number stored in the data storage system. The method further includes determining a call number character of the incoming call and assigning musical notes associated with the numbers of the digit set according to the musical note table. Furthermore, the method includes obtaining corresponding audio clip of each note from an audio clip database and outputting the audio clips with the corresponding rhythm of the call number character of the incoming call through a music output apparatus.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for identifying a user corresponding to an incoming call is provided. The method includes receiving an incoming call and decoding a phone number of the incoming call. The method further includes assigning one or more musical notes associated with one or more numbers in the phone number according to a musical note table and composing the corresponding musical notes of with the corresponding a predetermined music selection of a determined class to generate a ring music. The method further includes obtaining corresponding audio clip of each musical note of the ring music from the audio clip database and outputting the audio clips through a music output device.

Abstract: A method for processing an image before the image is displayed on a display unit, including: obtaining information of the image and judging the aspect ratio of the image whether equal to the aspect ratio of the display unit; if equality, then display the image on the display unit; else, stretching the image to make the size of the image equal to the size of the display unit; blurring the stretched image; covering the blurred image with the original image and obtaining a combination image; displaying the combination image on the display unit. The method includes the step of: providing a data storage for storing a note table, a melodic companion table, and an audio clip database; receiving an incoming call and sending the incoming call to a decoder to phone number of the incoming call; storing the phone number in the data storage; obtaining a predetermined digit set from the incoming call phone number stored in the data storage; obtaining the assigned note of each digit of the digit set, and piecing together a melodious sequence of note based upon a pre-determined algorithm guiding selection and sequencing of a combination of the primary notes and/or companion notes of the melodic companion table to edit a melody; and obtaining and outputting audio clip of each note of the edited melody in turn to generate a music.

Abstract: A power saving apparatus (20) is interposed between a power supply unit (10) and an electronic device (30). The power saving apparatus includes a switching component (210), a controlling circuit (230) controllable by the electronic device, and a switching circuit (220) controllable by the controlling circuit and the switching component. The controlling circuit receives an “idle” signal from the electronic device and controls the switching circuit to cut off the power supply to the electronic device according to the “idle” signal. The switching component produces an “awakening” signal to control the switching circuit to resume the power supply to the electronic device. A related power saving method is also introduced.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus and method for implementing an intelligent wake mode is provided. The method includes the steps of: tracking a system time of the electronic apparatus; entering into the wake mode when the tracked system time is equal to a predetermined time; increasing a current volume for every predetermined time interval; and keeping the current volume when the current volume is equal to or greater than a predetermined initial volume.

The controller includes a microprogrammed control unit (1010), a random-access memory (1012), and an electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (1014). The first circuit includes an attenuation circuit (1022) connected to a tuner of the audio system for attenuating input audio signals, and a switch (1024). An input end of the switch is connected to the tuner and an output end of the attenuation circuit, and an output end of the switch is connected to an audio processor (30) of the audio system. The apparatus enables a user to freely adjust an average level of sound produced by the audio system, and simultaneously avoid being bothered by loud transmissions.

Abstract: The present invention provides a robot apparatus with a vocal interactive function. The robot apparatus 1 receives a vocal input from the ambient environment, such as a user, and the vocal input is a conversation voice or an evaluation voice. The robot apparatus 1 receives a conversation voice from the user at first, and generates output data responding to the conversation voice, and receives an evaluation voice from the user. The evaluation voice is a response from the user to the output data, and the robot apparatus 1 updates a weighted value of the output data based on the user response. Consequently, the robot apparatus may output different and variable output data when receiving the same vocal input. The present invention also provides a vocal interactive method adapted for the robot apparatus.

Abstract: An RF-controlled power saving communication system includes an electronic device (30), an antenna (60), a radio frequency (RF) receiver (40) and a power saving apparatus (20) for controlling power supply of the electronic device. The RF receiver receives RF signals via the antenna and transmits the RF signals to the electronic device to process. The RF receiver further transmits the RF signals to the power saving apparatus. The power saving apparatus resumes the power supply of the electronic device in accordance with the RF signals.

Abstract: A wireless reception apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a scan unit for periodically scanning favorite channels which are selectable as a playing channel, and recording broadcasting signal properties of each favorite channel; an evaluation value calculating module for calculating an evaluation value of each favorite channel according to the broadcasting signal properties thereof; a channel selection module for selecting one of the favorite channels as a playing channel according to the evaluation values; and a signal receiving unit for receiving radio signals in the playing channel. Abstract: The present invention provides an image display apparatus and an image display method adapted for the apparatus. The apparatus stores a plurality of image files and metadata of each of the image files, and provides current timestamp. The metadata for each image includes an upload timestamp, a last-displayed timestamp, and a weighted value. A load-timestamp period is a time difference between the current timestamp and the upload timestamp. A not-displayed timestamp period is also a difference in time between the current timestamp and the last-displayed timestamp. The weighted value is calculated according to the load-timestamp period and the not-displayed timestamp period. The apparatus displays selected image files in accordance with the weighted values of the selected image files in an order. The present invention also provides a method of displaying image files adapted for the image display apparatus.
