Abstract: A portable electronic apparatus for receiving and displaying electronic files with identification code is provided. The identification code indicates whether the electronic file is an instant file or a common file. The portable electronic apparatus includes a main part, a data storage, and a receiving unit. The main part being selective in a “power-on” state or a “power-off” state is for displaying the electronic file and obtaining the instant electronic file from the data storage to display when the main part enters into the “power-on” state. The receiving unit is for receiving the electronic file, determining according to the identification code whether the electronic file is an instant file and whether the main part is in the “power-on” state; and storing the electronic file to the data storage and controlling the main part in the “power-on” state if the electronic file is an instant file but the main part is in the “power-off” state.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for generating a play-list of media files, includes the steps of: rearranging the media files based on weight values in weight fields of each media file in descending order; resetting sub-category weight values associated with desired sub-category in category tables to zero; obtaining a predetermined amount of media files on the top of the ordered list; reading the desired sub-categories and the weight values in the category fields of the obtained media files; incrementing a corresponding sub-category weight value in the corresponding initialized category tables by the weight values of the obtained media files; calculating final weight values of each media file according to the category tables; and generating the play-list of the media files according to the final weight values thereof. The present invention also provides a system for generating the play-list that makes the play-list more suitable for the user's favors.

Abstract: A power control circuit includes an electronic switch (20) interposed between a power unit (10) and an electronic device (30), a driving circuit (40) and a mechanical switch (50). The driving circuit receives a power-on signal from the mechanical switch, and signals the electronic switch to turn on and supply power to the electronic device in accordance with the power-on signal. The electronic device controls the driving circuit to maintain the electronic switch to be on and continue the power supply to the electronic device. The electronic device further receives a power-off signal from the mechanical switch, and signals the driving circuit to turn off the electronic switch and discontinues the power supply to the electronic device.

Abstract: A system for displaying information from a media playing device on a display device are provided. The system includes a media playing device (10) and a display device (20). The media playing device includes an network interface (103) for downloading network information from a network (40) and outputting the network information thereof. The display device is connected to the media playing device via a video interface and a audio frequency interface (AF), obtains and displays the network information. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an audio processing method for hearing protecting, includes steps of: fetching an audio file; decoding the audio file and generating digital audio signals; sampling the digital audio signals thereby obtaining a plurality of amplitude values; obtaining a current gain value; calculating an accumulated audio energy value during a predetermined time interval by sampling amplitude values in the predetermined time interval and the current gain value; automatically reduce the current gain value or outputting a prompt signal to prompt a user to manually reduce the current gain value when the accumulated audio energy value reaches a predetermined value; whereby protecting users' hearing. The present invention also provides a corresponding audio processing system for protecting users' hearing.

Abstract: The present invention provides a charging mode control circuit and method. By utilizing such charging mode control circuit and method, a secondary battery fixed in a portable device can be quickly charged when the portable device communicate with an external computer. The method includes the steps of: a) providing a commutator, the commutator comprising an adaptor, a first interface, and a second interface, wherein the first interface is connected to the external computer and the second interface is connected to the portable device; b) filtering a charging voltage from the adaptor and obtaining a ripple voltage from the charging power supply; c) rectifying the ripple voltage; d) comparing the rectified ripple voltage with a reference voltage, thereby producing a voltage waveform signal according to a comparison result; and e) selecting a fast charging mode for the secondary battery according to the voltage waveform signal.

The touch-based method includes the steps of: providing a display apparatus including a screen and a frame connecting to the screen, the screen including a first menu region and a second menu region, and the frame including a touch strip; generating sensing signals in response to operational inputs on the touch strip, each sensing signal being assigned to a coordinate for identification; timing a duration of the sensing signals; determining a speed of the operational inputs according to the duration and a direction of the operational inputs according to the coordinates assigned to the sensing signals; and rotating menu options displayed in an associated menu region corresponding to the speed in the direction. Abstract: A synchronous rectification and voltage stabilization circuit includes a saturable inductance coil (L1), a synchronous rectifier switch (33), a driving coil (L2) for turning on the synchronous rectifier switch, a discharging coil (L3) which co-operates with a controllable switching component (Q1) to turn off the synchronous rectifier switch, a filter circuit (40) and a voltage stabilization circuit (50). The saturable inductance coil, the synchronous rectifier switch and the filter circuit are connected in serial between an input terminal (10) and an output terminal (20). The saturable inductance coil is coiled together with the driving coil and the discharging coil on one core. The voltage stabilization circuit is connected between the output terminal and the saturable inductance coil, and is used for regulating a regulable saturation point of the saturable inductance coil according to an output voltage of the output terminal and a target value of the output voltage.

The touch-based display method for the display apparatus includes the steps of: providing a display apparatus including a screen and a frame connecting to the screen, the screen having a plurality of menu regions and the frame having a plurality of touch strips each mapped to one of the menu regions; receiving and processing any sensing signal from one of the touch strips; displaying an associated menu in the menu region corresponding to the signaled touch strip; hiding at least one of the menu options displayed in the menu region and replacing at least one of the displayed menu options by another hidden menu option when receiving a plurality of new sensing signals from the signaled touch strip; and performing a function indicated by a selected menu option when receiving a sensing signal from the signaled touch strip.

Abstract: A system for generating a play-list includes a media player and a media file server. The media player automatically generates weight values of each media file therein. The media file server stores a plurality of category tables, each category table storing a desired sub-category and corresponding sub-category weight values; initializes the category tables in response to an operational input for generating a play-list; obtains a predetermined amount of media files from the media player; reads the desired sub-categories and the weight values of the obtained media files; increments a corresponding sub-category weight value in the corresponding initialized category tables by the read weight values; calculates final weight values of each media file according to the category tables; and generates the play-list of the media files according to the final weight values thereof. The present invention also provides a corresponding method that makes the play-list more suitable for the user's favors.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for automatically selecting an audio play mode mainly is provided. The apparatus includes an audio reading unit and a play mode selecting unit. The audio reading unit reads an audio data frame, obtains and recognizes a play mode identifier from a frame header of the audio data frame, and generates an associated play mode control signal according to the recognized play mode identifier. The play mode selecting unit selects a corresponding play mode to output the audio data frame according to the play mode control signal from the audio reading unit. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic book reading apparatus mainly includes a user interface, an operation controlling unit, and a display unit. The user interface allows a user to flip an appropriate number of pages of a displayed electronic book. The user interface includes a plurality of sensing units for generating sensing signals in response to the flipping operations. The operation controlling unit is used for determining a speed and direction of the flipping operations and generating a speed signal and a direction signal according to the sensing signals. The display unit receives the direction signal, flips the appropriate number of pages of the displayed electronic book in a corresponding direction according to the received speed signal and direction signal, and displays the resulting page of the electronic book after flipping. A related method is provided.
