  • Publication number: 20220222290
Abstract: A data storage management system incorporates image recognition and classification features. The illustrative system generates thumbnail images to represent images detected in secondary copies. Subsequent image recognition and classification operations are based on the thumbnail images without need to access the secondary copies from which the thumbnails were derived. The system indexes thumbnail images and respective relationships to each other and to the source secondary copies. Metadata from the source secondary copies is extracted and preserved with the thumbnails. Thumbnail images, metadata, and related index data (collectively “thumbnail data”) are stored locally in an illustrative content index server, or in an enhanced storage manager, thus improving performance without interfering with ongoing storage management operations. Features are disclosed for searching within the system and performing storage management operations based on image criteria. Access to/from other systems is also possible, e.g.

  • Patent number: 11386897
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a method and a system for extraction of key-terms and synonyms for the key-terms. The method discloses to extract the key-terms and further determine a set of relevant synonyms for the extracted key-terms, wherein the key-terms is a collection of small sub-set of words and phrases which are individually meaningful and collectively provide a generic context of a given input text. The method discloses techniques for extraction of key-terms that is independent of any specific supervised training, does not require a huge amount of training data and computationally less intensive. The key-terms are determined in several stages using frequency based techniques based on a relevancy scoring of the key-terms. Further a set of synonyms are determined for the identified key-terms based on a language-based approach or domain specific approach.

  • Publication number: 20220200921
Abstract: A system for optimizing routes for time-critical messages in a mesh network is provided. For example, a child node in a mesh network can communicate with the root node through any of its parent nodes. The child node is configured to transmit regular data to the root node through a primary route associated with its primary parent. When there is a time-critical message to be transmitted to the root node, the child node estimates a round trip time (RTT) for each route between the child node and the root node. The child node selects, among its parent nodes, a parent node whose associated route has the lowest RTT and transmits the time-critical message to the root node through the selected parent node. After the transmission of the time-critical message, the child node switches back to the primary route to transmit additional regular data to the root node.
