  • Patent number: 12284246
Abstract: Certain embodiments disclosed herein reduce or eliminate a communication bottleneck at the storage manager by reducing communication with the storage manager while maintaining functionality of an information management system. In some implementations, a client obtains information for enabling a secondary storage job (e.g., a backup or restore) from a storage manager and stores the information (which may be referred to as job metadata) in a local cache. The client may then reuse the job metadata for multiple storage jobs reducing the frequency of communication with the storage manager. When a configuration of the information management system changes, or the availability of resources changes, the storage manager can push updates to the job metadata to the clients. Further, a client can periodically request updated job metadata from the storage manager ensuring that the client does not rely on out-of-date job metadata.

  • Patent number: 12282447
Abstract: A method of execution unit (EU) sharing between processor cores is described. The method includes encountering a structural hazard associated with an issued instruction in an instruction queue of a dispatch stage inside an active processor core. The method also includes issuing a request for an idle execution unit of an inactive processor core. The method further includes sending a transaction containing source operands of the issued instruction, and a word address of a result buffer as a destination operand to an allocated EU of the inactive processor core. The method also includes replacing the issued instruction in the instruction queue with a load operation to forward a result of the issued instruction from the result buffer based on the word address.

  • Patent number: 12283571
Abstract: Described is a packaging technology to improve performance of an AI processing system. An IC package is provided which comprises: a substrate; a first die on the substrate, and a second die stacked over the first die. The first die includes memory and the second die includes computational logic. The first die comprises DRAM having bit-cells. The memory of the first die may store input data and weight factors. The computational logic of the second die is coupled to the memory of the first die. In one example, the second die is an inference die that applies fixed weights for a trained model to an input data to generate an output. In one example, the second die is a training die that enables learning of the weights. Ultra high-bandwidth is changed by placing the first die below the second die. The two dies are wafer-to-wafer bonded or coupled via micro-bumps.

  • Patent number: 12284254
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining parameters of devices that may have influenced generated content, and appending values of these parameters to the generated content for the benefit of other users. Devices near the location at which the content was generated may be selected, and parameters of these devices may be retrieved. These device parameters are often relevant to the generated content. Accordingly, the retrieved parameter values may be appended to the generated content for transmission along with the content. In this manner, other users may view both the content and the parameters of nearby devices that may have influenced the setting of the content, assisting users in, for example, recreating the content or its subject matter for themselves.

  • Patent number: 12279959
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an implant is disclosed. The method includes preparing a wax template assembly based upon anatomical characteristics of an implantation site. Post formation of the template assembly, a lamination layer is provided over the template assembly resulting in a laminated template assembly. The lamination layer is composed of at least one polymer dissolved in one or more solvents. One or more coating layers of a pre-defined coating material are provided over the laminated template assembly to prepare a mold. The mold may then be sand-rained to form a sand coated mold. The sand coated mold may be de-waxed and baked for melting out the template assembly to form a de-waxed mold. A casting material is then poured over the de-waxed mold to form a casted mold which is cooled and solidified to form a casted implant which is further heat treated and finished to form the implant.
