  • Patent number: 12222826
Abstract: A mechanism for error containment in a data processing system includes receiving a transaction request at a gateway between a host and a device, allocating an entry for the request in a local request tracker of the gateway and sending a link request, to a port of the gateway. In response to an isolation trigger, the port is moved into isolation by completing in-process requests with entries in the tracker and locking the entries. On receiving a response to an in-process request while the port is in isolation, the response is dropped, the associated entry is unlocked, and allocation of the entry is enabled. A completion response is sent to the requester without dispatching a new link request to the port. When requests are completed, the system is quiesced, locked entries are unlocked, and the port is moved out of isolation.

  • Patent number: 12223475
Abstract: A network-based service creates a smart contract on a blockchain on behalf of a user who has a loan or a subscription that requires installment payments be collected by a provider from the user and provided to creditor of the loan or subscription. The smart contract associates a default account of the user with a first access token and non-default registered other accounts of the user with a second access token. The smart contract when presented with the access tokens from a provider determines whether the payment due can be satisfied from a current balance of the default account and if so, transfers the payment from the default account to the provider. If the default lacks sufficient funds for the payment, the smart contract proportions the amounts taken from each of the accounts to reach the amount due and transfers the amount due to the provider.

  • Patent number: 12222900
Abstract: A system can maintain respective extended attributes for respective files in a file system, wherein the respective extended attributes comprise respective first-in-first-out (FIFO) queues of user identities that have been determined to have modified the respective files. The system can receive an indication to perform a delete operation on a first portion of the file system, wherein the indication is indicative of a first user identity for which files are to be preserved. The system can, in response to receiving the indication, evaluate the respective files, comprising in response to determining that the first user identity is omitted from a FIFO queue of the respective FIFO queues, delete a file of the respective files that corresponds to the FIFO queue; and in response to determining that the first user identity is identified in the FIFO queue, refrain from deleting the file.

  • Patent number: 12223371
Abstract: Systems and methods for inter-kernel communication using one or more semiconductor devices. The semi-conductor devices include a kernel. The kernel may be in an inactive state unless performing an operation. One kernel of a first device may monitor data for an event. Once an event has occurred, the kernel sends an indication to a first inter-kernel communication circuitry. The inter-kernel communication circuitry determines an activation function of a plurality of activation functions is to be generated, generates the activation function, and transmits the activation function to a second kernel of a second device to waken and perform a function using a peer-to-peer connection.

  • Patent number: 12224967
Abstract: An apparatus may comprise a component for communicating using a first RAT and another component for communicating using a second RAT. Overlapping communication using the two RATs may cause problems for proper reception at the apparatus. The apparatus may detect that transmission or reception of a first packet using a first RAT will overlap in time with reception of a second packet using a second RAT. The apparatus prioritizes the first packet or the second packet based at least on a relative priority of the first packet and the second packet.

  • Publication number: 20250045750
Abstract: A system and method for verifying a signature in real-time when authenticating a card-based transaction. Initially, a digital reference signature is captured on a mobile device, sent in hashed form to a rules engine, and evaluated for features such as length, time, orientation, area, and pressure changes. Subsequently, a digital transaction signature is captured on a POS terminal, sent in hashed form to the rules engine via an acquirer, and evaluated for the same features. The rules engine compares the features of the signatures. If the transaction signature is verified, the rules engine sends an authentication token to the acquirer, and the acquirer sends the token and an authorization request to an issuer. If not, the acquirer sends a denial message to the merchant. If the power level of the POS terminal is insufficient to properly capture the transaction signature for effective evaluation, then an alternative authentication method is used.

  • Publication number: 20250043682
Abstract: The disclosure provides for a method for sampling fluid from a subterranean formation that is intersected by a wellbore. The method includes performing an initial draw-down at a target interval in the wellbore to pump fluid from the subterranean formation with a 3D radial probe. The method includes isolating the target interval of the wellbore with a packer and providing a residence time within a dead volume of the packer to allow fluid therein to separate into hydrocarbon and water phases. The method includes pumping a sample of the hydrocarbon into a sample chamber while pumping a remainder of the fluid into the wellbore, and testing the sample to determine a hydrocarbon content of the sample.

  • Publication number: 20250047712
Abstract: The technology described herein, which can be incorporated into a bare metal as a service environment, is generally directed towards monitoring retrieving and analyzing security configuration stored on recovery partition storage (e.g., OEM partition drives), which can contain critical logs, error state data, and boot critical security data. A backend security policy engine enforces security context configuration policy data, including to prevent malicious attacks on the backend services. Bare metal in-band compute device health is monitored by an out-of-band network using telemetry data services. When an unrecoverable system state is detected, the out-of-band network activates the recovery partition storage for recording the system sensitive logs, debug data and error states, which is stored as encrypted per security policies. Security policy is enforced, including on system logs, to prevent data tampering and/or malicious attacks. A recovery scenario is performed to restore operation of the compute device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A first procedure for capturing first point-in-time data for a data object may be performed and may include initiating a first type of operation to back up the first point-in-time data, the first operation being native to the data object and enabling sections of files to be backed up in parallel on a per-section basis. A second procedure for restoring the first point-in-time data to the computing system may also be performed. Performing the second procedure may include executing, based on recreating the first point-in-time data, the first type of operation to backup sections of first files of the first point-in-time data in parallel on the per-section basis to the computing system. And further include initiating a second type of operation to restore second files of the first point-int-time data in parallel on a per-file basis to the computing system.

  • Publication number: 20250040961
Abstract: A device includes a needle, cables and a handle. The needle has a proximal section and a distal section. The distal section is more flexible than the proximal section. The needle also includes channels extending within a wall thereof. Each of the channels extends from a proximal end of the needle to a distal channel end within the distal section. The needle may be inserted into a living body via an insertion instrument. Each of the cables is received within a corresponding one of the channels. A distal end of each of the cables is coupled to the distal channel end of the corresponding channel. During use, the handle remains outside the body. The handle includes an actuator coupled to the cables. Operation of the actuator away from a neutral position places at least one of the cables in tension to curve the distal section of the needle.
