Abstract: In one embodiment, a web content management system is coupled to remote resources via a framework that has one or more corresponding adapters which enable editing of content by invoking editors which are native to the respective remote resources. The system retrieves a content item from a remote resource and stores a copy of the content item in a local repository, while the original content item remains in the repository of the remote resource. A content item can be selected in in a local authoring tool, causing the system to examine the content item's metadata to identify the source repository and invoke the native editor of the corresponding remote resource, enabling editing of the content item using the native editor. The copy of the content item in the local repository can then be synchronized to the edited version of the content item in the remote resource.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to generating a hybrid query execution plan for executing queries on database systems implementing a columnar cache. A hybrid query execution plan combines a query execution plan for querying and retrieving data from a columnar cache and a base table. A columnar cache stores cached data in column-major format, which is logically represented by the database management system in row-major format. A database management system as described herein can scan valid blocks of column data according to a column scan operation. The system can identify invalidated blocks and execute a different sub-execution plan of the hybrid query execution plan to scan corresponding rows in tables corresponding to the location of data for the invalidated blocks.

Abstract: In some implementations, a method may involve detecting that touch sensing using a capacitive touch sensor system is inoperable in a given user context. Touch sensing using the capacitive touch sensor is disabled and touch sensing using an alternative sensor system is enabled. The alternative sensor system may include a fingerprint sensor system, an optical sensor system, and a force sensor system. Touch sensing using the alternative sensor system may be limited to a designated portion in a graphical user interface for improved user experience. In some implementations, the designated portion may be coextensive with an active area of the fingerprint sensor system and user interface controls may be arranged into an array of tiles.

  • Publication number: 20230401332
Abstract: Some embodiments control access by applications to resources in a computing environment. An embodiment notes a request from an application to access a resource, determines a compliance status of the application based on access control policy compliance criteria, ascertains an authorization status of the request based on an authorization credential of the request and an authorization requirement of the resource, and responds to the request based on the compliance status and also based on the authorization status, thereby providing fine-grained access control. Access may also be controlled based on a request's beneficiary. An access request response may allow access, deny access, or ask for additional authorization. A compliance classifier reduces risk by dynamically updating compliance status after compliance criteria changes or attribute changes. An identity service access control architecture uses a compliance attribute to improve efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20230403323
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a CI replication service that can replicate domain data from IDCS control plane to data plane and to all subscribed regions of a domain. For instance, the CI replication service can provide replication of required resources of a domain for AuthN and AuthZ from an IDCS local region to other regions for high availability (e.g., to improve latency). The CI replication service can replicate the resources from a domain's home region to all subscribed regions for local availability of data for workloads running in those regions. Further, when a new region is subscribed for a domain, then the service can bootstrap that domain's data from home region before enabling that region for the domain.

Abstract: A vehicle control system includes a controller to receive a current commanded speed, determine a current moving speed, and calculate a reference shaped speed to operate a propulsion system and/or a brake system to cause the current moving speed to approach the current commanded speed. The reference speed is based on a reference shaping model that changes the reference speed based on relative values of the current commanded speed, a previous commanded speed, the current moving speed, and a previous reference shaped speed. The controller controls the propulsion system and/or the brake system to cause the vehicle system to move at the calculated reference shaped speed. A method includes receiving a current commanded speed, determining a current moving speed, calculating a reference shaped speed, and controlling the one or more of the propulsion system or the brake system to cause the vehicle system to move at the reference shaped speed.
