  • Publication number: 20230229334
Abstract: Storage devices can be configured to desirably reduce the number of times a zone reset or erasure occur via the use of one or more paired overwrite memory blocks. These storage devices can include a plurality of memory devices with some of these memory devices designated as overwrite memory devices. A controller within the storage device can be configured to direct the storage device to generate one or more subsets within the memory devices such as zones, pair each of subsets with at least one or more overwrite memory devices, store data sequentially within the subset of memory devices, and store any received overwrite data in the overwrite memory devices in chronological order. Data stored within the subsets of memory devices are not erased and instead of being overwritten directly, are instead pointed via a control table to a location in the overwrite memory devices storing the corresponding overwrite data.

  • Publication number: 20230231833
Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for managing remote access to managed components in a cloud-based virtual computer network uses a virtual jumpbox infrastructure to establish a cryptographic network protocol connection between the virtual jumpbox infrastructure and the cloud-based virtual computer network on behalf of an user interface making a request for remote access to the cloud-based virtual computer network. After the cryptographic network protocol connection has been established, communication data between the user interface and a target managed component in the cloud-based virtual computer network is automatically moderated at the virtual jumpbox infrastructure at a data path that is not within the cryptographic network protocol connection. The automatic moderation includes at least one of inserting new information into the communication data and removing existing information from the communication data.

  • Publication number: 20230229865
Abstract: A platform, method, and system for a digital assistant are disclosed. The digital assistant uses natural language processing to respond to user queries. The digital assistant is extensible, because it can interface with a variety of devices, with a variety of natural language understanding providers, and with a variety of handlers. One method includes receiving a query from a user device, standardizing the query, and transmitting it to one of a plurality of natural language understanding providers. The digital assistant then receives intent data related to the intent of the query. The digital assistant then transmits the intent data to one of a plurality of handlers. The handler processes the intent data and returns content to the digital assistant. The digital assistant then adapts the content and sends it to the user device.

  • Publication number: 20230232195
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for scaling a service chain that includes multiple services, each of which is provided by one or more instances of the service. The method identifies that a first service in the service chain has received a number of requests. For each service in the service chain, the method (i) identifies a scaling factor that estimates a portion of requests received at the first service that will be subsequently received at the service and (ii) deploys a number of additional instances of the service based on the identified scaling factor for the service and the number of requests received at the first service.

  • Publication number: 20230229627
Abstract: An Application Data Management System (ADMS) enables an application file system to be mounted at any selected reconstruction time (TR). If the reconstruction time TR falls intermediate snapshot creation timepoints, the ADMS creates a version of the application file system at the selected reconstruction time TR using a snapshot of the data file from a previous application file system snapshot creation timepoint, and a snapshot of the log file from a subsequent application file system snapshot creation timepoint. The ADMS uses the snapshot of the log file from the subsequent snapshot creation timepoint to replay transactions on the snapshot of the data file from the previous snapshot creation timepoint up to the selected reconstruction time TR. This enables the state of the application file system to be recreated and mounted at any arbitrary selected reconstruction time, even if the selected reconstruction time is not coincident with snapshot creation timepoints.

  • Publication number: 20230229490
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes managing the migration of nodes between hosts in a distributed computing system. Container statistics data is received by a scheduler from a plurality of hosts, wherein the container statistics data includes data indicating quantities of containers on nodes of the plurality of hosts. A first host of the plurality of hosts that includes a quantity of containers on associated nodes that exceeds a container per host threshold is identified and an excess container quantity is calculated. At least one node of the first host is selected for migration. A second host is identified that has container capacity that meets or exceeds the quantity of containers on the selected at least one node. The selected at least one node is migrated to the second host, whereby the quantity of containers on nodes of the first host is reduced to less than the container per host threshold.
