  • Publication number: 20230230610
Abstract: Introduced here are computer programs and associated computer-implemented techniques for manipulating noisy audio signals to produce clean audio signals that are sufficiently high quality so as to be largely, if not entirely, indistinguishable from “rich” recordings generated by recording studios. When a noisy audio signal is obtained by a media production platform, the noisy audio signal can be manipulated to sound as if recording occurred with sophisticated equipment in a soundproof environment. Manipulation can be performed by a model that, when applied to the noisy audio signal, can manipulate its characteristics so as to emulate the characteristics of clean audio signals that are learned through training.

  • Publication number: 20230226598
Abstract: A continuous casting and rolling line for casting, rolling, and otherwise preparing metal strip can produce distributable metal strip without requiring cold rolling or the use of a solution heat treatment line. A metal strip can be continuously cast from a continuous casting device and coiled into a metal coil, optionally after being subjected to post-casting quenching. This intermediate coil can be stored until ready for hot rolling. The as-cast metal strip can undergo reheating prior to hot rolling, either during coil storage or immediately prior to hot rolling. The heated metal strip can be cooled to a rolling temperature and hot rolled through one or more roll stands. The rolled metal strip can optionally be reheated and quenched prior to coiling for delivery. This final coiled metal strip can be of the desired gauge and have the desired physical characteristics for distribution to a manufacturing facility.

  • Publication number: 20230229792
Abstract: Embodiments of the runtime risk assessment process monitors deliberate or potentially data destructive operations against a filter of dynamic risk assessment. A filter process recognizes the following conditions as highly indicative of increased risk factors: (1) recent creation of the security officer role, (2) changing of the system time or clock, and (3) disabling of system alerts. If all three of these events occur, the system recognizes this as indicative of a high probability of data attack. The runtime risk assessment process imposes a delay on the execution of each of these commands to provide time to alert the user and an opportunity to re-enter the commands at the end of the delay period. Thus, a potentially dangerous sequence of commands will not occur automatically or immediately, but will instead be delayed to provide an extra validation check or user action.
