  • Publication number: 20170290379
Abstract: A safety harness for vertically lifting of a user is provided. The safety harness includes an upper body harness and a lower body harness which may be positioned on liners within a coat and pants of the user, respectively. The upper body harness and lower body harness attach together to function as a Class III harness enabling lifting of a user in a vertical orientation by virtue of the harness geometry. The lower body harness alone serves as a Class II harness and the upper body harness alone serves as a drag line. The harness is particularly suited to be integrated with firefighting turnout gear for ready donning with the turnout gear.

  • Publication number: 20170249470
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program for monitoring and corrupting a data stream, includes a data stream transmitting device having a barcode scanner that transmits a stream of data corresponding to a scanned barcode; a data stream receiver device having a barcode processing system that receives the stream; and a monitoring and corrupting device coupled therebetween having a database storing rules for detecting and corrupting patterns of data in the stream, and which monitors the stream, and based on the rules determines if the stream is unwanted, and if so corrupts the stream and transmits the corrupted stream to the barcode processing system so that the barcode data stream cannot be correctly received by the data stream receiver device. Otherwise, if the stream of data is wanted, the stream of data is allowed to be correctly received by the data stream receiver device.

  • Publication number: 20170127226
Abstract: In an approach for notifying a user of a location of a device, a processor receives a first location of a first device. A processor determines that the first device has been separated from a user of the first device. A processor determines a second device located at, within a first predetermined threshold, the first location. A processor sends a first notification to the second device, wherein the notification includes, at least, that the first device is located nearby.

Abstract: A programmable RF attenuator having a first connection node and a second connection node is disclosed. The programmable RF attenuator provides RF attenuation between the first connection node and the second connection node based on at least a first attenuation control signal. The programmable RF attenuator includes a first RF attenuator circuit and a first reactance compensation circuit, such that the first RF attenuator circuit includes a first shunt transistor element and a first shunt resistive element, which is coupled to the first shunt transistor element. The first shunt transistor element receives the first attenuation control signal. The first reactance compensation circuit is coupled to the first RF attenuator circuit and at least partially compensates for reactive characteristics of the programmable RF attenuator that affect an attenuation flatness of the programmable RF attenuator.
