  • Patent number: 10234649
Abstract: A device to be inserted into a conduit includes at least one tube intended to receive optic fibers or micro fiber optic cables therein. A jacket surrounds the tube. In an embodiment where there are a plurality of tubes, they are loosely aligned within the jacket. In another embodiment, opposed surfaces of the jacket are attached to each other to form compartments for each tube. In still another embodiment, the jacket holds the tubes generally in a bundle. The jacket of a tube may also be attached to one or more innerducts, each of which can receive a fiber optic cable. Alternatively, an innerduct may be attached to two jackets each of which carry a tube therein.

  • Publication number: 20190069129
Abstract: In an approach for notifying a user of a location of a device, a processor receives a first location of a first device. A processor determines that the first device has been separated from a user of the first device. A processor determines a second device located at, within a first predetermined threshold, the first location. A processor sends a first notification to the second device, wherein the notification includes, at least, that the first device is located nearby.

  • Publication number: 20190028218
Abstract: A boundary of a wireless network is monitored for incoming wireless signals that may interfere with an ability of a first wireless computing device to connect to the wireless network within the boundary of the wireless network. For an incoming wireless signal determined to interfere with the ability of the first wireless computing device to connect to the wireless network within the boundary of the wireless network, a directional opposing outgoing wireless signal is emitted to counteract the incoming wireless signal and to stop the incoming wireless signal from further interfering with the ability of the first wireless computing device to connect to the wireless network within the boundary of the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 10177546
Abstract: A communications cable (11) is provided with a pliant sleeve (12, 21, 31) to allow it to be more easily inserted into a conduit (50). One form of the sleeve (12) has hook (14) and loop (15) connected to each other so that the sleeve (12) can engage the cable (11). Another form of the sleeve (21) is spring-loaded to engage the cable (11). In a third form of the sleeve (31) has an adhesive (33) which attaches the sleeve (31) to the cable (11). Whatever form the sleeve cable takes, when in the conduit (50), the conduit (50) is divided for the ease of insertion of a second sleeved cable and it is not necessary to install a separate conduit divider into the conduit.

  • Patent number: 10147946
Abstract: A positive electrode material having a nominal stoichiometry Li1+y/2Co1?x?y?z?dSizFexMyM?d(PO4)1+y/2 where M is a trivalent cation selected from at least one of Cr, Ti, Al, Mn, Ni, V, Sc, La and/or Ga, M? is a divalent cation selected from at least one of Mn, Ni, Zn, Sr, Cu, Ca and/or Mg, y is within a range of 0<y?0.10 and x is within a range of 0?x?0.2. The use of double compositional modification to LiCoPO4 increases the discharge capacity from ˜100 mAh/g to about 130 mAh/g while retaining the discharge capacity retention of the singly Fe-substituted LiCoPO4. Additional compositional modification to include Si increases the cycle life and greatly improved the coulombic efficiency to between 97-100% at a C/3 cycle rate.

  • Publication number: 20180338034
Abstract: A method and system for disabling functions of a movement detection enabled device is provided. The method includes monitoring a movement detection signal of the movement detection enabled device in a vehicle and determining that the vehicle is currently in motion. An electronic tag in the vehicle is detected and instructions associated with the movement detection enabled device are retrieved. It is determined that the movement detection enabled device is located within a specified proximity to a driver location of the vehicle and that a user of the device is a driver of the vehicle. In response, specified functions of the movement detection enabled device are disabled.

  • Patent number: 10121312
Abstract: A wagering game system configured to perform operations to transmit to a mobile device, via a wireless communication device of the gaming system, an offer for presentation via the mobile device in response to detecting that the mobile device is located at a casino. The offer is associated with a wagering game machine within the casino. The operations can further include detecting, via an electronic tracking device associated with the wagering game machine, an electronic identifier provided from the mobile device. For instance, the mobile device can provide the electronic identifier to the wagering game machine. The operations can further include associating, via an electronic processing unit of the gaming system, the offer with the wagering game machine in response to detecting the electronic identifier.

  • Patent number: 10122872
Abstract: A device management application (DMA) contacts printing devices connected to a computer network to obtain the device type, configuration parameters, and configuration settings from the printing devices. The device type, the configuration parameters, and the configuration settings are stored for each of the printing devices in a nested hash table. The configuration settings are grouped for each of the printing devices by device type in a working file, such as an XML tree that has leaf nodes for each configuration parameter of each different device type group. These methods identify the most common configuration settings for each of the configuration parameters in the leaf nodes, and map the most common configuration settings for the configuration parameters to configuration setup files for each the device type group. The configuration setup files are then deployed to the printing devices.

  • Publication number: 20180296295
Abstract: A medical drape has a tool-less removal feature and includes a drape material, a drape cut, an adhesive tape strip, and a scoreline. The drape material has a top side, a back side, and at least one exterior edge. The drape cut has a starting point at the exterior edge and extends completely through the thickness of the drape material. The adhesive tape strip is positioned along the length of the drape cut to overlap at least a portion of the drape material on both sides of the drape cut to initially secure the two adjoining cut edges to each other. The scoreline extends along the length of the adhesive tape strip and only partially through the thickness of the adhesive tape strip to permit easy tearing of the adhesive tape strip for separation of the two adjoining cut edges.

  • Patent number: 10074232
Abstract: A method for presenting both content based video signals and secondary video signals over a multi-layer touch screen display using a multiple display manager system is disclosed. First and second display managers are configured to receive primary content video signals from a controller and secondary video signals from a secondary video source. The first display manager is in communication with a front layer of the touch screen display and the second display manager is in communication with a back layer of the touch screen display. The screen may be split between multiple signals, or one or more signals may overlay one or more background signals. The overlaid signals may completely obscure the background signals, or they may provide a level of transparency. A touch router device interprets touches at a touch screen shared display to transform coordinates to enable interpretation of the player's touch inputs.
