Abstract: Analyzing a set of policies. A goal comprising a particular outcome is received. An analysis object comprising a data structure maintaining information needed to perform an analysis of the goal is defined. The analysis object is configured to limit a number of calculations needed to achieve the goal. Each member of a set of expressions found in the set of policies has an output. The output is the same for each expression. One of the set of expressions is solved. The solved output is cached in the analysis object such that the solved output is associated with each member of the set of expressions. The analysis object is processed to create a set of values that achieves the goal. Processing includes referencing the cache to retrieve the solved output each time a member of the set of expressions is to be solved during processing of the analysis object.

Abstract: A laundry treating appliance with a shroud having an access opening, a lid for opening and closing the access opening and a hinge coupled to the shroud. The hinge has a housing having a portion received by an aperture in the shroud. The housing also has a first end comprising a mouth adapted to couple with the shroud. The hinge further has a bracket that has a first end connected to the lid and a second end fastened to the housing and the bracket is received in the aperture in the shroud.

Abstract: State table complexity reduction in a hierarchical verification flow is provided by identifying peripheral supplies and non-peripheral supplies in a hierarchical group in a hierarchical logical block model of a circuit based on whether logic blocks associated with the power supplies provide outputs to or receive inputs from circuity external to the hierarchical group; merging associated power state tables for the peripheral supplies and the non-peripheral supplies in the hierarchical group to create a merged power state table for the hierarchical group; removing, by a processing device, any power states associated with the non-peripheral supplies from the merged power state table to create a reduced power state table; and modeling a reduced logical block based on the reduced power state table.

Abstract: An adaptive beamformer includes at least first and second microphones that generate respective audio signals that include speech and noise, a controller that detects occurrences of speech and noise within the audio signals, an adaptive speech cancelling filter that cancels speech from the audio signal of the second microphone to provide a speech-cancelled signal, an adaptive mixing block that combines the speech-cancelled signal and the second microphone audio signal to provide a noise reference signal in a weighted manner such that a weight of the second microphone signal is increased proportionally with an amount of the detected noise and a weight of the speech-cancelled signal is increased proportionally with an amount of the detected speech, and an adaptive noise cancelling filter that uses the noise reference signal to remove the noise from the first microphone audio signal.

Abstract: An apparatus to be introduced into a conduit includes a cable and a fabric sleeve which extends longitudinally along the cable. The sleeve is secured around the cable by complimentary connectors which extend outwardly from the edges of the sleeve. The connectors can take the form of many configurations including a hook and slot, a ball and socket, a hook and loop, and zipper teeth, among others.

Abstract: A wagering game system configured to perform operations to transmit to a mobile device, via a wireless communication device of the gaming system, an offer for presentation via the mobile device in response to detecting that the mobile device is located at a casino. The offer is associated with a wagering game machine within the casino. The operations can further include detecting, via an electronic tracking device associated with the wagering game machine, an electronic identifier provided from the mobile device. For instance, the mobile device can provide the electronic identifier to the wagering game machine. The operations can further include associating, via an electronic processing unit of the gaming system, the offer with the wagering game machine in response to detecting the electronic identifier.

Abstract: A method of securing a lid comprising a hinge to a laundry treating appliance. The laundry treating appliance has a shroud with an access opening. The hinge has a housing that defines a channel and the housing has a first end comprising a v-shaped mouth. The hinge further comprises a bracket that has a first end connected to the lid and a second end fastened within the channel. The method comprises receiving the channel and the bracket into an aperture in the shroud and sliding the housing relative to the shroud to enable the v-shaped mouth to mate with the shroud.

Abstract: In one example embodiment, an apparatus for treating a tissue site may include a contact layer formed from a compressible material. The contact layer may include a plurality of apertures extending at least partially through the contact layer. The contact layer may be configurable such that at least a portion of the apertures include a first plurality of orifices having a diameter in a first diameter range and such that at least a portion of the apertures include a second plurality of orifices having a diameter in a second diameter range. The first diameter range may be from about 2 mm to about 6 mm. The second diameter range may be from about 8 mm to about 15 mm. The apparatus may include a cover configured to form a sealed space including the contact layer and the tissue site.

A processor determines that the first device has been separated from a user of the first device. A processor determines a second device located at, within a first predetermined threshold, the first location. A processor sends a first notification to the second device, wherein the notification includes, at least, that the first device is located nearby.

Abstract: A communications cable (11) is provided with a pliant sleeve (12, 21, 31) to allow it to be more easily inserted into a conduit. One form of the sleeve (12) has hook (14) and loop (15) connected to each other so that the sleeve (12) can engage the cable (11). Another form of the sleeve (21) is spring-loaded to engage the cable (11). In a third form of the sleeve (31) has an adhesive (33) which attaches the sleeve (31) to the cable (11).

Abstract: An apparatus for filling a wound can include an array of at least four truncated ellipsoids interconnected to define at least one fluid path through, for example perpendicular to, the array. The longest principal axis of each ellipsoid may be perpendicular to the array. Each truncated ellipsoid may be a spheroid and/or may include an approximately elliptical contact surface at each contact surface between two interconnected ellipsoids. Each fluid pathway may have four continuously-curved concave sides and may have a parallelogram-shaped cross-section with continuously-curved concave edges. A dressing may include the apparatus, a dressing layer coupled to the apparatus, a backing layer disposed over a surface of the dressing layer opposite the apparatus, and an attachment device disposed on at least a margin of the backing layer. Methods of treating various tissue sites using the apparatus or dressing with negative-pressure therapy are also disclosed.

Abstract: A conduit is formed in a cable (10) having a plurality of wire bundles (12) by removing one or more of the centrally located bundles (12). A bundle (12) is removed by penetrating a wedge (14) into the bundle (12) and then pulling the pierced bundle (12) out of the cable (10). The bundle (12) is then engaged by wheels (18) of a device (17) and pulled out of the cable (10) thereby forming the conduit. The process is repeated dependent on the size of the cable (16) and the desired size of the conduit.

Abstract: Disclosed are photo-responsive pressure sensitive adhesives, wound dressings that contain the photo-responsive pressure sensitive adhesives, and methods to remove the wound dressing. The photo-responsive pressure sensitive adhesive comprises a viscoelastic polymeric matrix. The viscoelastic polymeric matrix comprises a polymer that includes at least a first polymeric segment and at least a second polymeric segment that are each covalently linked together through a photo-cleavable moiety. The photo-cleavable moiety is capable of photolytic cleavage of the covalent bonds formed between the moiety and the first and/or second polymeric segments, respectively, in response to electromagnetic radiation.

Abstract: An apparatus (10 which is to be inserted into a longitudinally extending conduit includes at least one longitudinally extending compartment (11) formed by attached the ends of a sheet of material (12) together. Another sheet of material (15) has one end attached to the compartment (11) and has compatible fastening elements (16, 17) on its opposed ends. A cable (19) may be positioned adjacent to the sheet of material (15) and it is folded around the cable (19) to form an additional compartment (18). The apparatus (10) may then be inserted into a conduit.

Abstract: A landing gear system and method of actuating the landing gear system, the system including a first leg assembly, a second leg assembly, a cross-shaft arranged between the two leg assemblies, and a landing gear actuator. The landing gear actuator includes a motor and a coupling shaft which is arranged to couple and decouple the landing gear actuator from the cross-shaft.

The mitt is made of strong flexible material and includes a flat palm pad portion having a plurality of finger loops attached thereto so that the fingers of the hand of a user can be placed through the loops so that the palm pad portion can be held securely to the hand of the user. The palm pad includes a rear portion disposed near a wrist of a user having an adjustable strap attached thereto which encircles the wrist of the user for securing the mitt to the hand of the user and includes hook and loop material. A reinforcing planar member is attached to an underside of the palm pad portion for reinforcing the palm pad portion and for contacting and gripping the shell of an oyster.
