    Abstract: A method for obtaining metallic carbon nanotubes is provided. An insulating substrate comprising hollow portions and non-hollow portions is provided. A plurality of electrodes is formed on a surface of the non-hollow portions. A plurality of carbon nanotubes is formed on a surface of the insulating substrate, and the carbon nanotubes stretch across the hollow portions. The insulating substrate, the plurality of electrodes and the carbon nanotubes are placed into a cavity, and the cavity is evacuated. A voltage is applied between any two electrodes, and photos of carbon nanotubes suspended between the two electrodes are taken. In the photo, darker ones are semiconducting carbon nanotubes, and brighter ones are metallic carbon nanotubes. Finally, the semiconducting carbon nanotubes are removed.

    Abstract: The present application relates to a method for preparing a dairy product based on the principle of forward osmosis, the concentrated dairy product prepared by the above method, and a continuous forward osmosis membrane system. Multiple concentration of the target solution is achieved by controlling the osmotic pressure difference between the solutions on both sides of the forward osmosis membrane, no heat source or strong external pressure is introduced, and the main nutrient content and nutrient ratio of the target solution are maintained. Compared with a reverse osmosis membrane concentration and a freeze concentration, the forward osmosis membrane concentration can greatly increase the concentration multiple of the dairy product, reduce the unit energy consumption, save the running cost.

    Abstract: A sensor for monitoring CO2 in a fluid regardless of the phase properties of the fluid, i.e., regardless of whether the fluid contacting the window is a liquid water-based phase, a liquid oil-based phase, a mixture of liquid water and liquid oil-based phases, or a gas phase. The sensor includes an internal reflection window for contacting with the fluid. A mid-infrared light source directs a beam of mid-infrared radiation into the window and the beam is internal reflected at an interface between the window and the fluid. The reflected beam is passed through three narrow bandpass filters which preferentially transmit mid-infrared radiation over bands of wavelengths corresponding to absorbance peaks of water, oil and CO2. The amount of CO2 is determined from the intensities of the mid-infrared radiation passing through the three filters.
