Abstract: A flashlight has a barrel having a front end and a rear end, with a battery disposed inside the barrel. The flashlight also includes a light source disposed at the front end of the barrel, a light source controlling circuit electrically connected with the battery and the light source for controlling the lighting of the light source, a lens assembly provided at the front end of the barrel for capturing an image, and an image processing circuit disposed inside the barrel and electrically connected with the battery and the lens assembly to process and store the captured image. A recharging device can be provided for recharging the battery in the flashlight.
