    Abstract: Selection of training utterances may be carried out in a sample-efficient manner, and the selected training utterances may be annotated to provide improved training information to an ASR system. A computing device may receive, from an ASR system, one or more transcript-score pairs, wherein a transcript-score pair comprises a transcription associated with a voice query and at least one score associated with the transcription. The computing device may determine a likelihood of a word error associated with each transcription of the one or more transcript-score pairs. The computing device may determine, based on the likelihood of the word error, an effect on a word-error rate of the ASR system. The computing device may send at least one of the one or more transcript-score pairs with a threshold effect on the word-error rate of the ASR system to be annotated.

    Abstract: Methods of forming a coating system on a surface of a cobalt-based superalloy component are provided. The method includes forming a nickel-based primer layer on the surface of the cobalt-based superalloy component; forming an intermediate nickel-containing layer on the nickel-based primer layer; and heat treating the cobalt-based superalloy component to form a diffusion coating on the surface of the cobalt-based superalloy component. The intermediate nickel-containing layer includes nickel, chromium, and aluminum. Coated cobalt-based superalloy components formed from such a method are also provided.

    Abstract: Broadly applicable and stereoselective formation of glycosidic linkage remains challenging yet of critical importance in giycoscience. By developing an SN2 glycosylation, this work advances a general solution to this challenge via stereoinversion at the anomeric position of glycosyl ester donors. This SN2 process is enabled by a basic directing-group in the leaving-group, which is activated by a cationic gold catalyst or any other electrophilic reagent. Unlike all the reported directing group approaches, this strategy is applicable to any glycosyl donors—a long sought-after yet unmet goal in carbohydrate chemistry; moreover, the basic directing-group upon glycosylation is lost as part of the leaving-group and hence traceless in the glycoside products, therefore avoiding potential complications in downstream transformations. Highly selective construction of glycosidic bonds including challenging 1,2-cis glycosidic bonds is achieved in excellent yields.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a virus and a harvesting solution composition. The method includes culturing cells, wherein the cells have been inoculated with viruses or have been transfected with viral packaging elements; and contacting the cultured cells with a harvesting solution composition to harvest the viruses by one-step, wherein the harvesting solution composition comprises a trypsin, a pH buffer and optionally a nuclease, and the pH of the harvesting solution composition is greater than 7.5 and no more than 10.5. The virus production method of the present invention has advantages of simple operation, easy scale-up, stable yield and so on, and the yield is unexpectedly and significantly improved compared to the prior art, and it can ensure the integrity of the viral particles without damaging the biological activity of the viruses. Therefore, it is very suitable for large-scale production of viruses.
