  • Publication number: 20190171833
Abstract: Machine logic (for example, software) for protecting sensitive and confidential user data and sending the protected user data to an authorized third party for predictive analytics purposes. The machine logic rules perform linear transformation operations on the sensitive and confidential user data in order to obscure the underlying data before it is sent to an authorized third party for performing predictive analysis of the underlying data. After performing predictive analysis on the obscured data by the authorized third party, the owner of the sensitive and confidential data takes a consequential action (that is, the owner of the data makes a business-related decision) based on the prediction.

  • Publication number: 20190172949
Abstract: A method of fabricating a fin structure with tensile stress includes providing a structure divided into an N-type transistor region and a P-type transistor region. Next, two first trenches and two second trenches are formed in the substrate. The first trenches define a fin structure. The second trenches segment the first trenches and the fin. Later, a flowable chemical vapor deposition is performed to form a silicon oxide layer filling the first trenches and the second trenches. Then, a patterned mask is formed only within the N-type transistor region. The patterned mask only covers the silicon oxide layer in the second trenches. Subsequently, part of the silicon oxide layer is removed to make the exposed silicon oxide layer lower than the top surface of the fin structure by taking the patterned mask as a mask. Finally, the patterned mask is removed.

  • Patent number: 10309968
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining amino acid sequence of a polypeptide or protein from mass spectrometry data is provided, using a weighted de Bruijn graph. Extracted and purified protein is cleaved into a mixture of peptide and then analyzed using mass spectrometry. A list of peptide sequences is derived from mass spectrometry fragment data by de novo sequencing, and amino acid confidence scores are determined from peak fragment ion intensity. A weighted de Bruijn graph is constructed for the list of peptide sequences having node weights defined by k?1 mer confidence scores. At least one contig is assembled from the de Bruijn graph by identifying node weights having the highest k?1 mer confidence scores.

  • Patent number: 10313171
Abstract: A low PAPR sequence design method for a wireless communication system includes the following steps: setting relevant parameters of a designed sequence at first, then carrying out multiple iterations, generating multiple length-designated sequences having elements 0 and 1 and obeying the Bernoulli distribution of designated probability density parameters according to the parameters during primary iteration, screening the generated sequences according to the PAPRs of the sequences, updating the parameters of the next iteration based on the screened sequences, and finally mapping the sequence having the minimum PAPR to obtain a sequence with a low PAPR with elements of ?1 and 1 after terminating the iterations. Compared with the prior art, the present invention allows the design of a sequence with a low PAPR with an arbitrary length, and the sequence only contains +1 and ?1 as elements and has good autocorrelation performance.

  • Publication number: 20180322605
Abstract: Parallel processing of frames by a first and second thread is disclosed. In particular, the systems and methods can process multiple frames in a pipelines manner by a JavaScript thread and a UI thread. The system first executes a first frame by a JavaScript thread during a first time interval. The system then executes the first frame by a UI thread during a second time interval. While the UI thread is executing the first frame, the JavaScript thread executes a second thread in parallel during the second time internal. As a result, latency is added to UI processing while maintaining the same throughput, to add parallelism. The JavaScript and UI threads can be handled by different processors (e.g., using a multi-core processor), thereby adding further parallelism and increasing the efficiency of processing an event.
