  • Patent number: 9331178
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device includes forming two isolation structures in a substrate to define a fin structure between the two isolation structures in the substrate. A dummy gate and spacers are formed bridging the two isolation structures and over the fin structure. The two isolation structures are etched with the dummy gate and the spacers as a mask to form a plurality of slopes under the spacers in the two isolation structures. A gate etch stop layer is formed overlying the plurality of slopes. The dummy gate and the two isolation structures beneath the dummy gate are removed to create a cavity confined by the spacers and the gate etch stop layer. A gate is then formed in the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20160115516
Abstract: A resistive sensor for an analyte comprises a substrate, a conductive polymer layer and an oxidase layer. Hydrogen peroxide is produced via the reaction between analyte and oxidase when a liquid sample is applied to the sensor of the present invention. The produced hydrogen peroxide can oxidize peroxidase, which can be reduced by oxidizing the conductive polymer, thus resulting in decreased conductivity of the conductive polymer for determining the analyte concentration in the liquid sample. The present invention may be used for developing miniaturized and disposable electronic microsensors with high sensitivity and fast response, which can detect analyte level in typical physiological environment for routine monitoring.

  • Patent number: 9319899
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for correcting quantization errors in signal reception based on estimated network loading including solutions for preserving cellular network performance in low noise, high interference environments. In one embodiment, a data channel is amplified with respect to other signals based on network load during periods of relatively low network utilization. Dynamic modification of the data channel's power level is configured to overcome quantization errors, rather than the true noise floor (which is insignificant in low noise environments). Such solutions provide both the fidelity necessary to enable high degrees of unwanted signaling rejection, while still preserving data channel quality.

  • Publication number: 20160099184
Abstract: A method of estimating the capability of a semiconductor manufacturing system is provided. Plural first transistors are formed and a first VtMM value and a first scale value are obtained. Plural second transistors are formed and a second VtMM value and a second scale value are obtained. Plural third transistors are formed and a third VtMM value and a third scale value are obtained. A first channel length of the first transistor is smaller than a second channel length of the second transistor and is equal to a third channel length of the third transistor. A VtMM v.s. scale figure is established. A line is formed by linking the first dot and the third dot and a vertical Gap between the line and the second dot is measured. The capability of the semiconductor system is determined based on the vertical Gap. The invention further provides a chip.

  • Patent number: 9307457
Abstract: Performing selective tune-away by a user equipment (UE). The UE may include a first radio that is configurable to operate according to a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT. The UE may use the radio to communicate using the first RAT and the second RAT using the first radio. The UE may also perform measurement of a received signal strength for the first RAT. The UE may determine if the received signal strength is less than a threshold. Neighbor cell measurement and/or synchronization may be performed if the received signal strength is less than the threshold. However, if the received signal strength is greater than the threshold, the neighbor cell measurement and/or synchronization may not be performed. The UE may continue to perform page decoding for the first RAT using the first radio, e.g., for each discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle of the first RAT.
