  • Publication number: 20080134467
Abstract: An electronic device includes a first housing, a second housing, an axle and a first electromagnetic valve. The second housing is disposed adjacent to one side of the first housing. The first housing and the second housing are both pivoted on the axle, and the first housing and the second housing can be opened/closed around the axle. The first electromagnetic valve is disposed adjacent to the axle to lock/unlock the axle. When the first electromagnetic valve unlocks the axle, the first housing and the second housing may be opened/closed. Alternatively, when the first electromagnetic valve locks the axle, the first housing and the second housing cannot be opened/closed.

  • Patent number: 7385535
Abstract: A CABAC decoding system includes at least a decoding unit group. Each decoding unit group includes N decoding units connected with each other. The Mth decoding unit receives parameter information for decoding bins and bit streams to be decoded, decodes the bins of the bit streams to be decoded, obtains the decoding result of the current decoding unit bin, and sends the updated parameter information to the (M+1)th decoding unit and an output unit. The CABAC decoding system achieves high decoding rate and keeps a reasonable cost of hardware resource, and thereby provides a high efficient and reasonable decoding solution.

  • Publication number: 20080128512
Abstract: A wireless code symbol reading system including a wireless hand-supportable code symbol reader in two-way RF communication with a base station operably connected to a host system, by way of an RF-based wireless data communication link having a predetermined RF communication range over which two-way communication of data packets can occur. The wireless hand-supportable code symbol reader is programmed to automatically detect when it is located inside and outside of the predetermined RF communication range. When the wireless reader is inside the RF communication range, then symbol character data is automatically transmitted to the base station, and when the wireless reader is located outside of the RF communication range, then symbol character data is automatically collected and stored in a data packet buffer, until the wireless reader has re-entered its RF communication range.

  • Publication number: 20080123314
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing, a first connecting element, a second connecting element, and a lens module. In this case, the first connecting element pivots on the housing, and deflects relative to the housing in a first swing direction. The second connecting element pivots on the first connecting element, and deflects relative to the first connecting element in a second swing direction. The lens module connects with the second connecting element. Therefore, because the lens module of the electronic device can be deflected in both the first and the second swing directions, the lens module can retrieve images from a broader scope.

Abstract: An anchor structure for electronic devices includes a plurality of bars that are pivotally coupled through a hinged means. At least one of the bars has a housing space formed in a portion of the interior to allow the bars to be swivelable relative to one another. The anchor structure further has a fastening means which has a handle with a bottom end located in the housing space and hinged on a corresponding bar. The hinged portion on the bottom end of the handle runs through the bar and is fastened to a cam. The housing space also holds a slidable brake element corresponding to the cam and a spring to keep the brake element in contact tightly with the cam so that turning of the cam can selectively move the brake element to a position to escape the axle or to another position to form a tight contact with an axle.

  • Publication number: 20080095278
Abstract: An apparatus for determining multipath correlations among a search range of input data, and a method thereof. The multipath searcher comprises a pseudo noise (PN) code generator, a correlator, and a data combiner. The PN code generator generates a first PN code corresponding to a first multipath component of the input data, postpones a first period based on the search range, then generates a second PN code corresponding to a second multipath component of the input data. The correlator is coupled to the PN code generator, and correlates the input data with the first PN code and the second PN code to produce a first correlation and a second correlation. The data combiner is coupled to the correlator, receives the first and the second correlations to determine a primary multipath component with a higher correlation thereto.

  • Publication number: 20080069161
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed to the use of optical gain structures that include alternating layers of gain medium and transparent heat conductors in which the gain medium itself functions as a correction optic. The gain medium changes to an optimum or desired shape because of the thermal changes occurring as the materials of the optical gain structure(s) reach a desired optical output condition. At the desired optical output conditions, the gain medium conforms to a desired shape. The desired shape may be, for example, that of an optical surface of a transparent heat conductor. By designing the initial shape of the gain medium such that the physical contact with the transparent heat conductor is maximized at the desired optical output conditions, conductive heat transfer between the gain medium and heat conductor(s) is maximized at the desired optical output condition.

  • Patent number: 7324368
Abstract: An integrated circuit memory includes memory cells 2 is connected to a power supply Vdd via a power supply control circuit 4. The power supply control circuit includes a first gate 26 and a second gate 28. The first gate 26 is switched by a write assist circuit so as to be non-conductive when writing to the memory cell 2. The second gate 28 is conductive both when writing to the memory cell 2 and when not writing to the memory cell 2. Accordingly, when a write operation is made a relatively high resistance path is formed through the power supply control circuit 4 compared to when writing is not being performed. This increase in the resistance through the power supply control circuit 4 during write operations induces a dip in the virtual supply voltage provided at the supply output of the power supply control circuit 4 in a manner which assist writes to be made.

  • Publication number: 20080006313
Abstract: A stick umbrella structure includes a main shank, a plurality of rib units and a canopy. A fixed hub and a movable slider are mounted on opposite ends of the main shank. The movable slider is slidably provided on the main shank and positioned at two predetermined positions. The rib unit consists of a main rib and a spreader rib. One end of the main rib pivot-connects with the movable slider. One end of the spreader rib pivot-connects with the fixed hub while the other end pivot-connects with a pivot point of the main rib. A center of the canopy is fixed to the fixed hub while an outer periphery of the canopy is fixed to the main ribs. Accordingly, the rib units are capable of unfolding the canopy by spreading the main ribs and the canopy can be folded in a reverse direction by retracting the main ribs.
