  • Patent number: 11924818
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for encoding data for wireless communication to achieve a desired amplitude distribution. Some implementations more specifically relate to performing an encoding operation to shape the amplitudes of the resultant symbols such that the amplitudes have a non-uniform distribution. In some implementations of the non-uniform distribution, the probabilities associated with the respective amplitudes generally increase with decreasing amplitude. Some implementations enable the tracking of MPDU boundaries to facilitate successful decoding by a receiving device. Additionally or alternatively, some implementations enable the determination of a packet length after performing the amplitude shaping, which enables a transmitting device to determine the number of padding bits to add to the payload and to signal the packet length to a receiving device so that the receiving device may determine the duration of the packet.

  • Patent number: 11923930
Abstract: A high-dimensional signal transmission method is provided. The method generates M M-dimensional first signals on the basis of M original signals and generates M M-dimensional second signals on the basis of a precoding signal and of the first signals, and finally, a transmitter sums all of the second signals and then transmits by utilizing M subchannels. As such, each subchannel carries information of the M original signals; hence, when any subchannel experiences deep fading, the deep fading is shared jointly by M signals, thus preventing the deep fading from causing a particularly severe impact on any signal. Moreover, all of the original signals can be recovered by utilizing the signals on the other subchannels, thus increasing the systematic resistance against subchannel deep fading. Meanwhile, the system implements the parallel transmission of the M original signals, thus ensuring the throughput of a communication system.

  • Publication number: 20240072790
Abstract: The invention uses the control circuit formed on the silicon wafer to detect the leakage current of transistor formed on the depletion mode GaN wafer and then adjust the gate voltage of the depletion mode GaN transistor according to the detected leakage current. Essentially, the gate voltage is reduced or viewed as made more negative when the detected leakage current is larger a specific value. Thus, the gate voltage can be gradually adjusted to approach a specific threshold voltage that right block the leakage current. In other words, by making the gate voltage more negative when non-zero leakage current is detected and even by making the gate voltage more positive when zero leakage current is detected, the depletion mode GaN transistor can be adjusted to have an acceptable or even zero leakage current, a high reaction rate and an optimized efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20240063876
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for improving wireless communications in power spectral density (PSD)-limited frequency bands. A wireless communication device, having a number (NTX) of transmit antennas, parses a physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (PPDU) into a number (NSS) of spatial streams and modulates the NSS spatial streams on a number (M) of subcarriers. In some implementations, the wireless communication device may transmit the PPDU using a number (N) of the transmit antennas, where NSS?N<NTX. In some other implementations, the wireless communication device may subdivide the M subcarriers into subcarrier groups and may transmit each subcarrier group using a respective subset of the NTX transmit antennas, where the number of transmit antennas used to transmit each subcarrier group is greater than or equal to the number of spatial streams modulated on the subcarriers in the group but less than NTX.

Abstract: A high-frequency composite impactor including a high-frequency axial and a torsional impact assembly is disclosed. The high-frequency axial impact assembly includes an upper self-excited oscillation cavity, a lower self-excited oscillation cavity, an adjustment block and a lock nut. The torsional impact assembly includes an upper end cover, a reversing switch, a pendulum, a lower shell, a lower end cover, a nozzle, a connecting block and a retaining ring. The high-frequency axial impact assembly converts the flowing drilling fluid into a pulsed jet to achieve a high-frequency axial impact. The torsional impact assembly enables a torsional impact through a shunt, and finally enables a high-frequency composite impact, which can effectively reduce the stick-slip of the drill string, jump drilling and other downhole accidents. By reducing the friction between the drill string and the borehole wall, the impactor can reduce WOB loss, increase the ROP, and improve the drilling efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20240056996
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for orthogonal multiplexing of high efficiency (HE) and extremely high throughput (EHT) wireless traffic. Devices in a wireless local area network (WLAN) may operate under HE or EHT conditions. An access point (AP) may support both HE and EHT communications with WLAN devices. To enable substantially simultaneous downlink HE and EHT transmissions and substantially simultaneous uplink HE and EHT transmissions, the AP may support orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) of HE and EHT transmissions. For example, pre-HE and pre-EHT modulated fields, HE and EHT modulated fields, and payloads may be aligned in time for the HE and EHT transmissions. The AP may ensure orthogonality for multiplexing the HE and EHT transmissions based on the alignment. In some implementations, a trigger frame may be utilized to indicate uplink transmission alignments.
