The method includes: acquiring, by an eUICC, capability information of a terminal in which the eUICC is embedded; and sending, by the eUICC, the capability information of the terminal to an SM platform, so that the SM platform manages a profile on the eUICC or generates a profile or manages the eUICC according to the capability information of the terminal. Capability information of a terminal in which the eUICC is embedded is reported to an SM platform, so that processing such as generation or management of a configuration file can match the capability information of the terminal, which improves processing accuracy.

Abstract: A profile switching method and a terminal, where the method includes sending, by a terminal, an enable instruction to an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC), where the eUICC includes at least a first profile and a second profile, the terminal has accessed a network using the first profile, data of the first profile is stored in a cache of the terminal, and the enable instruction instructs the eUICC to disable the first profile and enable the second profile, and send a first instruction to the terminal, where the first instruction instructs the terminal not to restart the eUICC, and after receiving the first instruction, retaining, by the terminal, the data of the first profile in the cache, storing data of the second profile in the cache, and accessing a network using the second profile.

The method includes receiving a subscription transfer request message sent by a first user equipment (UE) or a second UE, where the first UE is a target UE to which an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) subscription is transferred, and the second UE is a source UE from which the eUICC subscription is transferred; and transferring the eUICC subscription from the second UE to the first UE according to the subscription transfer request message, so that the first UE accesses an operator network according to transferred eUICC subscription data. The technical solution of the present invention can implement transfer of an eUICC subscription between UEs that use an eUICC, making it more flexible and convenient for a user to change a UE.

Abstract: In a method, after a terminal is handed over from a home network to a redundant network, the terminal receives a value of a periodic network detection timer that is sent by a handover module. The value of the periodic network detection timer is determined by a subscription management device according to a policy and sent to the handover module, or the value of the periodic network detection timer is preset by the handover module. The terminal periodically detects signal strength of the home network of the terminal according to the value of the periodic network detection timer. If it is detected that the signal strength of the home network of the terminal is restored, a home network restoration report is sent to the handover module.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a device for switching a subscription manager-secure routing device.
