  • Publication number: 20200095735
Abstract: The present invention provides a vehicle traction device which may be conveniently attached and applied to roadways that are subject to accumulations of ice, snow, and other wintry precipitation. The vehicle traction device provides a center strip which deters unintended horizontal motion of vehicles as well as skidding, sliding, spinning, and the general loss of traction. The center strip can include a collapsible support system which will allow the center strip to collapse to low height to permit the passage of road clearing equipment or other low clearance vehicles. In addition, the vehicle traction device provides angled strips which deter unintended sliding motion forward or reverse relative to the normal flow of traffic, especially when vehicles are ascending or descending along steeply sloping roadways. Finally, the vehicle traction device further provides bristle strips which help to dislodge ice and other accumulations on vehicle tires which may interfere with vehicle traction.

  • Publication number: 20200048606
Abstract: Methods are described herein for isolating clonal populations of T cells having a defined genetic modification. The methods are performed, at least in part, in a microfluidic device comprising one or more sequestration pens. The methods include the steps of: maintaining individual T cells (or precursors thereof) that have undergone a genomic editing process in corresponding sequestration pens of a microfluidic device; expanding the T cells into respective clonal populations of T cells; detecting, in one or more T cells of each clonal population, the absence of a cell surface marker that was present in the individual T cells (or precursors thereof); and detecting, in one or more T cells of each clonal population, the presence of a first nucleic acid sequence that is indicative of the presence of an on-target genome edit in the clonal population of T cells. Also described are compositions comprising one or more clonal populations of T cells isolated according to the methods disclosed herein.

  • Publication number: 20190345488
Abstract: Apparatuses, compositions and processes for DNA barcode deconvolution are described herein. A DNA barcode may be used to provide a bead specific identifier, which may be detected in situ using hybridization strategies. The DNA barcode provides identification by sequencing analysis. The dual mode of detection may be used in a wide variety of applications to link positional information with assay information including but not limited to genetic analysis. Methods are described for generation of barcoded single cell sequencing libraries. Isolation of nucleic acids from a single cell within a microfluidic environment can provide the foundation for cell specific sequencing library preparation.

  • Publication number: 20190278432
Abstract: A virtual reality device can implement varying interactive modes for document viewing and editing by displaying, at an application container level, a current mode view in a view frame of the virtual reality device; and in response to receiving an overview command trigger, determining context, including that the current mode view is at the application container level; expanding to a next level view of, e.g., a task level or an overview level; and displaying, at a next level, the next level view in the view frame of the virtual reality device. The current mode view of the application container level includes a container space of an application and an application container level rule for the container space. Conversely, the virtual reality device can adjust the next level view back to the application container level in response to a focused command trigger and identified region of interest.

  • Patent number: 10411968
Abstract: Techniques for sharing network information, such as routing table information, are described. In some examples, network nodes share information about the topology of their network. For example, nodes may share routing tables with their neighbors from time to time. To improve the performance of the network, by reducing the overhead of transmitting routing tables, the nodes share their routing tables with neighbor nodes only when those tables are updated or upon request. In other circumstances, such as when a routing table has not changed since it was last shared, each network node instead transmits an indicator, such as a routing table checksum, hash, or the like, that can be used by a neighbor node to determine the routing table is unchanged.

  • Publication number: 20190106957
Abstract: A downhole tool includes a section mill, a bridge plug, and a connector releasably coupling the section mill to the bridge plug. A guide is coupled to the connector and maintains the section mill centered within a wellbore during sue of the section mill. A method for setting a bridge plug and cutting casing includes deploying a tool string downhole in a wellbore, with the tool string including a casing cutting tool releasably coupled to a bridge plug. The bridge plug is set within the wellbore and the casing cutting tool is released from the bridge plug. In the same trip during which the bride plug is set, the casing cutting tool is expanded and used to remove an axial section of casing while maintaining the casing cutting tool centered within the casing.

  • Patent number: 10244659
Abstract: A thermal distribution assembly for an electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes an enclosure defined by a metal band and a non-metal bottom wall formed by glass, sapphire, or plastic. In this regard, the enclosure may include a relatively low thermal conductivity. However, the thermal distribution assembly provides heat transfer capabilities that offset thermal conductivity losses by using a non-metal bottom wall, and also provides added structural support. The thermal distribution assembly may include a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The first and third layers provide structural support, while the second layer provides a relatively high thermally conductive layer.
