  • Patent number: 10908811
Abstract: A system capacitively senses a swiping motion to a touch sensitive display, determines a length associated with the swiping motion to the touch sensitive display, and displays a menu of options based on the length associated with the swiping motion. The system capacitively senses inputs to the touch sensitive display that correspond to selections from the menu, determines probabilities associated with the options, and modifies the menu based on the probabilities.

  • Patent number: 10891271
Abstract: According to embodiments, a multi-node database management system allows consumer processes (“consumers”) implementing a portion of a distributed data-combination operation to independently send a STOP notification to corresponding producer processes (“producers”). Upon a given consumer determining that the consumer requires no further information from corresponding producers, the consumer sends a STOP notification to the producers. When a given consumer sends out a STOP notification, the producers drop any data destined for the given consumer and also stops preparing data for and sending rows to the given consumer. Furthermore, once the producers receive STOP notifications from all of the consumers corresponding to the producers, the producers stop the current sub plan execution immediately without requiring completion of the sub plan.

  • Publication number: 20200396314
Abstract: Described herein is a screen reader providing a summary with popular link(s). The screen reader can provide a request for popular link information regarding a particular web resource to a search engine. The request can include a URL associated with the particular web resource. The request can be provided in response to a user request for a summary and/or the request can be provided based upon a user configurable setting (e.g., a quantity of popular links to be displayed). The screen reader can receive popular link information regarding the particular web resource from the search engine. The screen reader can then provide a summary comprising at least some of the received popular link information to the user. In response to selection of a particular popular link, the screen reader can redirect the browser to display a web resource associated with the particular popular link.

  • Publication number: 20200387494
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for detecting a layout table by a screen reader. Information regarding a document being displayed by an application is received from an application programming interface of a user interface automation system that provides information regarding user interface elements of application and/or the application. The information includes an indication that the document comprises a table. A determination is made as to whether the table is a data table or a layout table based upon the received information using a rule-based heuristic. When it is determined that the table is a layout table, presentation information associated with the layout table can be skipped over, and, cell data content within the layout table provided. Thus, for a determined layout table, the system and method allow the screen reader to act as if the containing table doesn't exist, but still read the content.

  • Publication number: 20200356882
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to accurate resource interaction opportunity decisioning. Contextual information is extracted, in real-time or otherwise, which takes into account the circumstances surrounding the presentation of resource interaction opportunities to the potential user. A decisioning model from amongst a plurality of models is determined based on implementation of an explainability calculator that assesses the accuracy, risk and complexity of the models in relation to the resource interaction opportunity decisions rendered by the models. A relationship builder is implemented that is configured to build a relationship network amongst potential users and resource interaction opportunity providers and subsequently use the indirect relationships provided by the network as a basis for determining which resource interaction opportunity providers should provide resource interaction opportunities to the potential users.

  • Patent number: 10795793
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for executing simulated failure scenarios on a computing system using natural language inputs in a domain-specific language. Embodiments includes receiving a failure scenario definition, which may be a natural language input identifying target systems in a distributed computing system, properties, and an expected outcome of a simulated system failure. Commands directed to the identified target systems to simulate a system failure on the identified systems according to the identified properties are generated and transmitted to the identified target systems for execution. The outcome of the simulated system failure is monitored, recorded, and compared to the expected outcome of the simulated system failure. Upon determining that the recorded outcome and expected outcome of the simulated system failure differ, an alert identifying a difference between the recorded outcome and the expected outcome is generated.

  • Publication number: 20200301763
Abstract: A system and method may reduce the costs associated with adding or editing configuration elements for an API. A generic schema for the API codebase may keep the configuration definitions flexible and associations between various configuration definitions may also be saved within the codebase. New configuration instances may then be created using the definition of the configuration. Since the definition of the configuration is saved in a codebase, updating the definition or adding a new definition will not require going through the cycle of requirement analysis, coding, and testing. Once the definition is updated, the application code may appropriately mark the difference between the configuration instance and its definition and it will utilize the new definition to create instances of the new configuration.

  • Publication number: 20200285667
Abstract: Various methods and systems for providing batch search interfaces that support operations for dynamically generating batch search queries, executing batch search queries, and causing display of batch search query result items are provided. In operation, a batch search query interface for inputting images is generated. An image is received. A first feature and a second feature of the image are detected from the image. A first tag for the first feature and a second tag for the second feature are displayed on the batch search query interface. The tags refer to attributes associated with different features of the image. A batch search query based on the first and second tag is communicated to cause execution of the batch search query to generate search results. A first and second plurality of results associated with the respective tags are simultaneously displayed using feature-tag-specific results display portions of the batch search results interface.
