Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for classifying a plurality of customer accounts based on a recoverable amount from a customer account. The method includes receiving historical data of the customer account and a user input indicating a selection of a predictive analytics algorithm from a set of predictive analytics algorithms, and building a predictive data model by executing the predictive analytics algorithm on the historical data. The building includes computing a contact index for the customer account and a payment index for the customer account. The building further includes computing a recoverability index based on the contact index, the payment index, and the outstanding amount. The recoverability index denotes the recoverable amount. The method further includes classifying the customer account based on the recoverability index.

  • Publication number: 20150339728
Abstract: Various aspects are disclosed for enabling an advertising server to improve profitability by selectively and dynamically discriminating between the various ad server resources which are to be allocated towards servicing different incoming impressions. The ad server may be configured or designed to dynamically evaluate the parameters of each incoming impressions in order to assess the likelihood of that incoming impression being successfully filled by demand partners and/or advertising networks. At various times when conditions warrant, the ad server may selectively and dynamically choose to throttle or drop the servicing of selected incoming ad requests/impressions in order to minimize losses which may occur as a result of servicing ad requests/impressions which result in defaults.

  • Patent number: 9197861
Abstract: Video analytics is used to track an object of interest represented in video data representing the field of view of a scene observed by a video camera. A multi-dimensional virtual beam is used to detect whether the tracked object of interest is continually present in a detection zone within the field view of the scene. An occurrence of an event is signaled when the tracked object of interest is continually present in the detection zone during a period beginning when the tracked object of interest enters the detection zone and ending when the tracked object of interest leaves the detection zone through the opposite side, after having completely crossed through the detection zone. Use of a virtual beam detection zone reduces false alarms as compared to the numbers of incidences of false alarms of traditional detection methods, while adding several features and benefits.

  • Patent number: 9190068
Abstract: A system and method for using bi-directional conversation data to improve signal presence detection are disclosed. The detector module is adapted to communicate with a signal enhancement module. The detector module collects data from a transmit direction of the connection and a receive direction of a data connection. The collected data from the transmit and the receive direction is used to classify at least one of data in the transmit direction and data in the receive direction. Responsive to the classification, the signal enhancement module enhances data in one of the transmit direction and the receive direction. Hence, data classification accuracy is improved by using data from both the transmit and receive directions. In one embodiment, the detector module applies a voice activity detection module (VAD) process to detect the presence or absence of voice data in the collected data.

  • Publication number: 20150322768
Abstract: A single critically damped acoustic stack yields a wide frequency range as an acoustic transmitter or as an acoustic transducer having particular use in well integrity determination. The critically damped present acoustic stack utilizes a plurality of stacked acoustic elements such as piezoelectric ceramics that are energized in two manners, providing different center frequencies, each producing a respective center frequency of 100% bandwidth to yield an acoustic stack having a total bandwidth exceeding the bandwidth of an acoustic element or the bandwidth of the plurality of acoustic elements. One manner of energizing is to pulse only one of the acoustic elements. The other manner is to pulse a first acoustic element then pulse a second acoustic element after a delay equal to the amount of time it takes for the first pulse to reach the face of the second acoustic element. The acoustic stack is primarily used in pulse-echo analysis of metal casing wall thickness and cement bond quality detection of wells.
