  • Patent number: 9159101
Abstract: An image of a check may be presented for payment in a banking system in place of the physical paper check. The check to be deposited can be collected from a depositor using a scanner. A web site, accessed through a depositor's web browser, can be used to drive the process of collecting the check, but in some contexts (e.g., in less popular computing environments, such as those that do not run the most popular operating systems), it is economically infeasible to obtain the certificates that would be used to allow a program executing in the web browser to control the scanner. Thus, a depositor can be instructed to capture and upload images of the check in the form of files, where the image files are then presented for payment through a banking system.

  • Patent number: 9159133
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for estimating gravity and/or scale in a mobile device are presented. A difference between an image-based pose and an inertia-based pose is using to update the estimations of gravity and/or scale. The image-based pose is computed from two poses and is scaled with the estimation of scale prior to the difference. The inertia-based pose is computed from accelerometer measurements, which are adjusted by the estimation for gravity.

  • Patent number: 9158818
Abstract: Facilitating identification of star schemas in database environments. In an embodiment, queries directed to relational database tables (organized according to normalized schema) are examined to determine the relationships specified in the queries. A star schema is then generated by including the specified relationships. A data warehouse may be organized according to the generated star schema and the data previously stored in the database tables may be copied to the data warehouse.

  • Publication number: 20150286217
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for optimizing a set of matched features is provided. The method includes matching features between an optical image and a geo-referenced orthoimage to produce an initial set of matched features. An initial position solution is then determined for the optical image using the initial set of N matched features. The initial set of N matched features are then optimized based on a set of N sub-solutions and the initial position solution, wherein each of the N sub-solutions is a position solution using a different set of (N?1) matched features. A refined position solution is then calculated for the optical image using the optimized set of matched features.

  • Publication number: 20150278923
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to methods, systems, and computer program products for routing order lookups from retail systems. Order data from order management system database is synchronized to an order cache. When an order lookup is received (e.g., from a retail kiosk or POS terminal), a business layer determines if the cache can appropriately service the order lookup. If so (e.g., if the order lookup does not change order state), the business layer routes the order lookup to the cache. Otherwise (e.g., if the order lookup does change order state), the business layer routes the order lookup to the order management system database. In-store retail systems can be used to lookup orders previously submitted through other channels, such as, a website or mobile application. Knowing order details for other orders can assist the customer with in-store purchasing decisions.

Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to methods, systems, and computer program products for routing order lookups. Order data from order management system database is synchronized to an order cache. When an order lookup is received, a business layer determines if the cache can appropriately service the order lookup. If so, the business layer routes the order lookup to the cache. Otherwise, the business layer routes the order lookup to the order management system database. In some embodiments, order lookups configured to impact state of the order management system database (e.g., that write or change order data) are routed to the order management system database. In these same embodiments, order lookups configured to not impact state of the order management system database (e.g., that read order data) are routed to the cache.

  • Publication number: 20150281066
Abstract: An autonomous network and a corresponding routing method include determining routing paths by a controller, and providing the determined routing paths to a data packet processor located remotely from the controller. The data packet processor routes outgoing data packets, based on information from the controller, through a plurality of switches remotely from the data packet processor. Each switch includes a plurality of network interfaces. For an outgoing data packet, the data packet processor determines a network interface over which to transmit the data packet, and adds an indication of the determined network interface in a header of the data packet. The data packet processor forwards the modified data packet to the switch including the determined network interface. The switch identifies the network interface based on the indication, and transmits the outgoing data packet over the identified network interface.

  • Publication number: 20150278321
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to methods, systems, and computer program products for synchronizing database data to a database cache. Embodiments of the invention facilitate synchronizing order data from an order management system database to an order cache. When order data is synchronized, more efficient order lookups of the order data can occur. In some embodiments, the order management system database feeds the order cache with the latest updates as relevant state for orders is modified. A trigger within the order management system database can indicate when order state is modified. The trigger is monitored. When the trigger indicates modified order state, a caching interface (e.g., a caching API) can be called to publish the modified order state to the order cache.

  • Publication number: 20150278607
Abstract: A camera system comprises an image capturing device, object detection module, object tracking module, and match classifier. The object detection module receives image data and detects objects appearing in one or more of the images. The object tracking module temporally associates instances of a first object detected in a first group of the images. The first object has a first signature representing features of the first object. The match classifier matches object instances by analyzing data derived from the first signature of the first object and a second signature of a second object detected in a second image. The second signature represents features of the second object derived from the second image. The match classifier determine whether the second signature matches the first signature. A training process automatically configures the match classifier using a set of possible object features.
