Abstract: A media access controller (MAC) generates a composite packet having an optimized format for carrying audio, video, and data traffic. A header portion of the composite packet is encoded separately from a data portion of the composite packet. A physical device interface (PHY) is coupled to the MAC. The PHY encodes and decodes between a digital signal and a modulated analog signal. The PHY comprises a high rate physical layer circuit (HRP) and a low rate physical layer circuit (LRP). A radio frequency (RF) transmitter is coupled to the PHY to transmit data.

Abstract: System and methods for managing trust in access control are based on a user identity, in a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) network. A device has an access control list (ACL), a trusted-to-identify access control list (TIA), and a first TIA management module configured to manage the TIA. A security console is communicatively coupled to the device via the network. The security console has a second TIA management module. The first TIA management module is able to implement an add request from the security console for adding an entry to the TIA. The entry includes a control point identity for a control point communicatively coupled to the device via the network.

Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure provides guidance for recovery from disruptions in airline operations. In one embodiment, a disruption data specifying the details of disruptions in airline operations and a corresponding set of tasks performed for recovery for each disruption is maintained. In response to receiving an input data indicating details of a new disruption, an earlier disruption that is closest to the new disruption is identified based on the input data and the disruption data. For example, a statistical distance between the new disruption and each of the maintained disruptions may be computed, with the disruption having the shortest statistical distance being selected as the earlier disruption. The corresponding set of tasks performed for recovery from the earlier disruption is provided as recommendation for recovery from the new disruption.

Abstract: The present invention provides for bioavailable oral dosage forms containing esters of 17-hydroxyprogesterone as well as related methods. The oral dosage forms can be formulated for pregnancy support and can include a therapeutically effective amount of an ester of 17-hydroxyprogesterone and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In another embodiment, a pharmaceutically acceptable oral dosage form for pregnancy support is provided. The pharmaceutically acceptable oral dosage can include a therapeutically effective amount of an ester of 17-hydroxyprogesterone and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The oral dosage form can, when measured using a USP Type-II dissolution apparatus in 900 mL of deionized water with 0.5 (w/v) of sodium lauryl sulfate at 50 RPM at 37° C., release at least 20 wt % of the dose of the ester of 17-hydroxyprogesterone after 60 minutes, or in the alternative release at least 20 wt % more after 60 minutes than an equivalently dosed oral dosage form without the carrier.

Abstract: A system and method for packaging a semiconductor device that includes a wall to reduce electromagnetic coupling is presented. A semiconductor device has a substrate on which a first circuit and a second circuit are formed proximate to each other. An isolation wall of electrically conductive material is located between the first circuit and the second circuit, the isolation wall being configured to reduce inductive coupling between the first and second circuits during an operation of the semiconductor device. Several types of isolation walls are presented.

Abstract: This invention provides a method for shortstopping free radical polymerization reactions using combinations of N-isopropylhydroxylamine (IPHA) or salts thereof with either primary or secondary alkyl hydroxylamines, or with at least two primary alkyl hydroxylamines. A method for producing elastomers using the aforesaid shortstopping agents is also provided.

A set of incident handling actions are identified based on incident handling rules for an incident type of the incident. From the set of incident handling actions, one incident handling action is identified to be executed based on a set of impact indicators associated with the set of incident handling rules. The identified incident handling action is then executed to address the failure of the resource.

Abstract: A split collar mountable turbine is assembled in two separate halves and circumferentially attachable around existing structures. Top and bottom attachment rings each comprise first and second arcuate elements adapted to interconnect circumferentially about an axis to form two rings formed in spaced relation. A fan blade housing ring adapted to interface into complimentary slots within the top and bottom rings is received in complimentary slots and moves in tracks located in the top and bottom rings by magnetic levitation. The turbine further includes two pair of off-axis electrical generators each having rotating gears driven by rotation of said fan blade housing for producing electricity. A series of set screws and set guides affixed to the top and bottom rings can be adjusted to engage and be supported by a structure that is collared in the open center of the cylindrical wind turbine.

Abstract: A control system according to the principles of the present disclosure includes an operation control module, a fault detection module, a remedial action module, and a reset module. The operation control module controls operation of a vehicle system. The fault detection module detects a fault in the operation control module when the operation control module fails an integrity test. The remedial action module takes a remedial action when the fault is detected. The reset module resets the operation control module when the fault is detected and the remedial action is not taken.

Two different types of insulating layers are placed between the metal layers. The placement is such that one of the two different types of insulating layers is placed between the conductive pads and the other type of insulating layer is placed between the two spaced apart metal layers.

Abstract: An extensional flow mixing system is provided comprising a cell including an inlet for introducing fluid into the cell and an outlet permitting fluid to flow out of the cell, the cell having an interior surface defining a convergent flow path that has an internal cross-sectional area that preferably decreases from the inlet to the outlet so as to define a direction of convergence from the inlet to the outlet, and an insert extending within the cell in the direction of convergence, the insert comprising at least one protuberance which causes the fluid to undergo an extensional episode, wherein the protuberance is spaced from the interior surface by a dimension “?” that is constant or changes gradually in the direction of convergence. Method of providing extensional flow and production of dispersions are disclosed.

Temporal and locality caching hints and prefetching hints are provided to improve system wide caching and prefetching. Message codes for atomic operations to arbitrate ownership between system devices/resources are included to allow efficient access/ownership of shared data. Loose transaction ordering provided for while maintaining corresponding transaction priority to memory locations to ensure data integrity and efficient memory access. Active power sub-states and setting thereof is included to allow for more efficient power management. And, caching of device local memory in a host address space, as well as caching of system memory in a device local memory address space is provided for to improve bandwidth and latency for memory accesses.

Abstract: A system and method is described for printing a label with an RFID tag. The system includes an RFID reader that queries a first RFID tag coupled to a first medicinal container that includes a medication. In response, the system receives a first unique identifier and uses the first unique identifier to determine a status of the medication, associate the first medicinal container with a medical provider and print a second label that includes a second RFID tag for a second medicinal container.

Abstract: A chat collaboration tool is disclosed. In particular, a network enabled chat session is established between a customer and an agent of an entity. The customer has a customer issue that is to be resolved by a specialist of the entity and not the agent via the chat session. A specialist query is generated based at least on information of the customer issue, wherein the specialist query includes one or more parameters specific at least to the customer issue. At least one available specialist capable of handling the customer issue is identified based on satisfied matches between attributes available specialists and corresponding parameters of the specialist query. The available specialist(s) are displayed on the agent's user interface wherein the agent is able to select an available specialist. A chat session is then established between the customer and the available specialist upon receiving the agent selection.

Abstract: A piezoceramic pulse-echo acoustic transducer includes protection layers for the piezoceramic that are tuned to the piezoceramic so as to optimize pulse-echo signal response (i.e. greater output signal bandwidth and increased return signal sensitivity). The protection layers are tuned to the piezoceramic via material selection and thickness. The acoustic transducer has a backing, a piezoceramic adjacent the backing, an intermediate protection layer adjacent the piezoceramic, and a front protection layer adjacent the intermediate protection layer and opposite the piezoceramic. The front and intermediate protection layers are tuned to the piezoceramic via their acoustic impedance such that the acoustic impedance of the intermediate layer is greater than the acoustic impedance of the piezoceramic and of the front protection layer. The acoustic impedance of the front protection layer is less than the acoustic impedance of the piezoceramic.

Abstract: In some embodiments, color and contrast enhancement video processing may be done in one shot instead of adjusting one of color and contrast enhancement, then the other, and then going back to the first one to readjust because of the second adjustment. In some embodiments, global lightness adjustment, local contrast enhancement, and saturation enhancement may be done at the same time and in parallel. Lightness adjustment improves visibility of details for generally dark or generally light images without changing intended lighting conditions in the original shot, and is used to enhance the range of color/saturation enhancement. Local contrast enhancement done in parallel improves visual definition of objects and textures and thus local contrast and perceived sharpness.
