Abstract: The disclosure herein provides the compounds of Formulas 1 and its pharmaceutical acceptable salts, as well as polymorphs, solvates, and hydrates thereof. These salts may be formulated as pharmaceutical compositions. The pharmaceutical compositions may be formulated for oral administration, transdermal administration, and/or injection. Such compositions may be used for the treatment of metabolic conditions, cystinosis, non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis, hypertriglyceridemia, and/or neurodegenerative disorders, and/or their associated complications.

Abstract: The present application is directed towards systems and methods for aggressively probing a client side connection to determine and counteract a malicious window size attack or similar behavior from a malfunctioning client. The solution described herein detects when a connection may be under malicious attach via improper or unusual window size settings. Responsive to the detection, the solution described herein will setup probes that determine whether or not the client is malicious and does so within an aggressive time period to avoid the tying up of processing cycles, transport layer sockets and buffers, and other resources of the sender.

Abstract: A mechanism is described for mitigating the effects of such a DoS attack by detecting a multiple TDR situation within a short duration, identifying the errant virtual machines, and suspending all rendering ability for that virtual machine or set of virtual machines. While the disclosed embodiments are described in the context of virtual machines, the principles may be extended to the general problem of DoS attacks due to TDRs and bugchecks on any physical machine that includes a GPU. For example, DoS attacks can be generated from web sites directly using GPU rendering.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a packet at an interface at a network device having a plurality of interfaces connected to a plurality of links forming a bundle, performing a Reverse Path Forwarding (RPF) check on the received packet, and forwarding the packet if it passes the RPF check. The RPF check includes a lookup in an RPF table having a plurality of entries for the bundle, each of the entries including the bundle and one of the links in the bundle, and verification that the interface receiving the packet is connected to one of the links in the bundle identified in the lookup. An apparatus is also disclosed.

Abstract: An approach for sharing an asset in a peer-to-peer network is provided. After determining a locally stored first list does not include meta data specifying the asset, a new node is identified. In response to receiving a subscription from the new node, a second list locally stored at the new node is received. The second list includes the meta data and an identification of a source node that has the asset. The first list is updated to include the meta data and the identification of the source node. The updated first list is searched and in response, the meta data and the identification of the source node are detected. Based on the detected meta data and identification, the source node is identified. A request to retrieve the asset is sent to the source node, and in response, the asset is received.

Abstract: The present invention relates to amine based additive composition for controlling and inhibition of polymerization of aromatic vinyl monomers including styrene comprising (a) one or more of nitroxide (i.e. nitroxyl) compounds; and (b) one or more of aromatic nitro compounds, characterized in that the said composition further comprises one or more of (c) amines, wherein said amine is selected from a group comprising (i) hydroxyl alkyl tertiary amines, (ii) tertiary alkyl amines, (iii) hydroxyl alkyl primary amine; and (iv) mixture thereof. In one embodiment, the present invention also relates to method of using presently provided composition. In another embodiment, the present invention also relates to method of controlling and inhibiting polymerization of aromatic vinyl monomers including styrene by employing presently provided composition. In still another embodiment, the present invention also relates to method of preparation of presently provided composition.

Abstract: A system configured to facilitate brokering hybrid cloud services selects information requests for characterizing an information technology application. The system responses to the information requests and determines a plurality of sets of the responses each used for deriving a value of a respective one of a plurality of factor functions. The system determines a plurality of assessment results each derived using values for of a respective set of the factor functions. Each one of the assessment results characterizes a respective aspect of deploying the information technology application within a cloud environment.

Abstract: A valve is provided having a valve housing/body configured to be arranged in, or form part of, a piping having a fluid flow, and configured with a pressure tap arranged at a location along the piping to allow pressure of the fluid flow of the piping to be measured, and also having a rotatable orifice plate configured to rotate in the valve body/housing on an axis of rotation positioned at a different location along the piping than the pressure tap for rotating between a first rotatable position for providing a normal fluid flow operation and a second rotatable position substantially perpendicular to the fluid flow for providing a direct flow measurement of the fluid flow determined based on signaling sensed by the pressure tap sensor containing information about a measured pressure at the pressure tap when the orifice plate is in the second rotatable position.

Abstract: Techniques for measuring above-the-fold (ATF) page rendering are provided. Visible objects for an ATF portion of a browser page are identified. A start and end time for each visible object is recorded. Furthermore, a total elapsed time to finish loading each of the visible objects to the ATF portion of a browser is determined.

Abstract: An AC/DC converter system comprises an input circuit for connection to a three-phase AC source. An isolation transformer comprises a symmetrical core with a set of primary windings and first and second sets of secondary windings wound on the symmetrical core providing balanced flux in all three phases and magnetically coupling to the set of primary windings. The first and second sets of secondary windings are phase shifted by select amounts from the set of primary windings. The set of primary windings is connected to the input circuit. An AC/DC converter comprises first, second and third three-phase rectifiers, the first three-phase rectifier is powered by the first set of secondary windings, the second three-phase rectifier is powered by the second set of secondary windings, and the third three-phase rectifier is powered by the input circuit. An output circuit is connected between the AC/DC converter and a DC load.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for reducing delay to applications connected to a database server that guarantees no data loss during failure or disaster. After storing a log record persistently in a local primary log, the log writer returns control to the application which continues running concurrently with the database server sending the session's log records to a standby database. A separate back channel is used by the standby to communicate, out-of-band to the primary, the location of the last log record stored persistently to the standby log. An application waiting for a transaction to commit may wait until the transaction's commit record has been persisted. Also described is a technique for reducing application delay when there is contention between nodes of a multi-node cluster for updating the same block. The technique provides for an asynchronous ping protocol that guarantees zero data loss during failure or disaster.

Abstract: Provided herein are steroid containing compositions suitable for providing therapeutically effective amounts of at least one steroid to individuals. Also provided herein are compositions comprising testosterone and/or testosterone derivatives suitable for providing therapeutically effective and safe amounts of testosterone over periods of time. Further provided are methods of treating andro- and/or testosterone deficiency in individuals by administering to the individuals compositions described herein.

Abstract: Methods and genetic constructs are provided for detecting the binding of nuclear hormone receptors to a coactivator/corepressor. The methods employ enzyme fragment complementation using fragments of ?-galactosidase as the detection system. Cells are transformed to express the large fragment of ?-galactosidase fused to a member of the complex with NHR for initiation of transcription and have it localized in the nucleus and to express the small fragment of ?-galactosidase fused to the nuclear hormone receptor for binding to the member upon stimulation with a ligand.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to pharmaceutical compositions and oral dosage capsules containing testosterone undecanoate, as well as related methods. The capsule includes a capsule shell and a capsule fill. The capsule fill can include a solubilizer and about 14 wt % to about 35 wt % testosterone undecanoate based on the total capsule fill. The oral dosage capsule is such that when a single oral administration to a male subject of one or more capsules with a total testosterone undecanoate daily dose of about 350 mg to about 650 mg it provides a ratio of serum testosterone Cmax to serum testosterone Cave of about 2.7 or less. In yet another embodiment, a method for providing a serum concentration of testosterone within a target serum testosterone concentration Cave range for a male subject is provided.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented method for reducing funding burden on a credit issuer by offering an early payment rewards program to qualified card holders. The method may include identifying card holders having a payment history illustrating payment of an entire credit balance each month, determining whether each of the identified card holders generates an account-related fee total not exceeding a pre-selected threshold, and selecting the card holders having a history of payment of the entire credit balance each month and generating account-related fees not exceeding the pre-selected threshold. The method may further include offering the early payment rewards program to the selected card holders, wherein upon enrollment in the early payment rewards program the selected card holders receive rewards for early payment behavior.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed generally to systems and methods for Diameter load balancing. In some embodiments, an intermediary device may receive a diameter connection request from a client that includes a CER. The intermediary device may initiate a connection with a server of a plurality of servers and place the server protocol control block in a reuse pool. Responsive to opening the connection with the server, the intermediary device may forward the received CER. The intermediary device may then receive a CEA message from the server and establish an AVP-based persistent connection. The intermediary device may modify the received CEA message, and then forward the message to the client. When the intermediary device receives a diameter message from a client, the intermediary device may match an AVP of the message with an AVP associated with a persistent server connection, and forward the diameter message to the corresponding server.
