Abstract: A biological fluid sample analysis chamber and a method for analyzing a biological fluid sample is provided. The chamber includes a first chamber panel, a second chamber panel, and a plurality of beads disposed between the first chamber panel and the second chamber panel, which beads are configured to not reflect light incident to the beads in an amount that appreciably interferes with a photometric analysis of the biologic fluid.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for measuring a reference beam and a corresponding returned beam from a target in a measurement system using a single sensor array. The system is configured such that the location of the reference beam is space apart from the location of the returned beam on the sensor array. A first set of sensor elements on the sensor array corresponding to the reference beam is dynamically activated based on a laser beam scanning control signal. The detection signal from the first set of sensor elements is used to determine a location and/or a pattern of the reference beam, which are then used to estimate a location and/or a pattern of the corresponding returned beam on the same sensor array and dynamically select and activate a second set of sensor elements on the sensor array based on the estimated location and/or pattern of the corresponding returned beam.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a class of polymer ion imbibed membranes for electrolyte flow batteries. The membranes are a conducting aromatic polyether type copolymer bearing nitrogen heterocycles groups, especially pyridine type. While the membranes can be used in acid, basic, and neutral electrolytes, the nitrogen heterocycles in the membrane interact with acid in the electrolyte to form a proton transport network, so as to keep the proton transport performance of the membrane. The membrane has excellent mechanical stability and thermostability as well as tunable porosity.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides peptide compositions (e.g., of self-assembling peptides) with particular attributes (e.g., peptide identity, peptide concentration, pH, ionic strength [including salt identity and/or concentration), etc that show particularly useful material properties. The present disclosure also provides technologies for selecting and/or formulating particular peptide compositions useful in specific contexts. Abstract: The present invention describes a system and method for continuous monitoring of central (aortic) and peripheral Blood Pressure. The system includes a fully mobile, non-invasive, continuous blood pressure monitoring system that includes one or more Biostrip devices affixed on a user, coupled with an application running on a computing device, which is further connected to a web server in the cloud. The system performs various computations on the Biostrip device, or on the gateway device (Smartphone or Smartwatch), or on the Cloud, and provides the user and authorized third parties with various insights about the blood pressure levels of the user. Further, the system enables the user to receive biofeedback training for controlling hypertension, and schedule online appointments, pay online for such appointments, share data the data securely to obtain insights.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and a system for creating and managing a private, decentralized, secure peer-to-peer IP based mesh overlay network. In one embodiment, the mesh network is created comprising at least one gateway node capable of controlling one or more resources connected to the at least one gateway node. A mesh network management server authenticates and provisions the gateway node with a license and firmware for adding to the mesh overlay network and grants ownership of the gateway node to an authorized user. The owner may request for addition or removal of the gateway node or the resources.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to method and a system for managing a decentralized access to a resource. A user of a client device having a third-party application installed therein request to join the mesh network based on invite received from the owner of the IoT gateway. The mesh network comprises one or more IoT gateway. One gateway is identified based on the topology of the client device, and an optimal connection between the client device and the identified gateway is determined. The third-party application may send a resource access request for accessing a resource of the mesh network and access the requested resource through the optimal connection route thus determined. Thus, the disclosure enables a peer-to-peer mesh network infrastructure that allows secure access to the resource by a third-party application without using a cloud server to route the resource access request from the client device to the gateway.

One example is a system including an information processor communicatively linked to a query processor and a plurality of data processors respectively associated with a plurality of datasets. The information processor receives a request from the query processor for identification of a target dataset to be associated with a query term. The information processor generates a random permutation, and receives a secure version of the query term from the query processor, and receives secure versions of a collection of candidate terms from each of a plurality of data processors, each candidate term representing a cluster of similar terms in the associated dataset. The information processor determines similarity scores between the secure version of the query term and secure versions of the candidate terms, and identifies the target dataset of the plurality of datasets based on the determined similarity scores.
