  • Patent number: 11787755
Abstract: A hydrocarbon isomerization system for an iC4 feed stream that provides for removal of C3s from an isomerization reactor feed stream by the addition of a depropanizer column to remove C3s from the reactor effluent stream after it has passed through a stabilizer column. This configuration prevents a buildup of C3s in the system and provides significant savings by reducing the size of the chloride treaters that are used to remove chlorides from off gas, increasing chlorides recovered to the hydrocarbon feed stream for use in combination with the isomerization catalyst. Significant utility savings are provided as well as a reduction in the amount of perchloroethane (PERC) and adsorbent that are required.

  • Publication number: 20230328151
Abstract: An improved information management system that implements a staging area or cache to temporarily store primary data in a native format before the primary data is converted into secondary copies in a secondary format is described herein. For example, the improved information management system can include various media agents that each include one or more high speed drives. When a client computing device provides primary data for conversion into secondary copies, the primary data can initially be stored in the native format in the high speed drive(s). If the client computing device then submits a request for the primary data, the media agent can simply retrieve the primary data from the high speed drive(s) and transmit the primary data to the client computing device. Because the primary data is already in the native format, no conversion operations are performed by the media agent, thereby reducing the restore delay.

  • Publication number: 20230315681
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein are well suited to restoring deduplicated backup data from cloud-based storage and from multi-node replicated files systems, and they also improve performance in more traditional data storage technologies. Pre-restore steps include analysis of deduplication indexes to identify data segments that are stored consecutively on storage media. Reading data in aggregate runs of consecutively stored data segments reduces interactions with storage media that hosts the deduplicated data and speeds up retrieval. Parallel reads from multiple storage devices in multi-node replicated file systems also speed up retrieval. An illustrative enhanced media agent pre-fetches data (stored in deduplicated form) in anticipation of read requests that are expected in the restore operation.

  • Patent number: 11777786
Abstract: A method includes, for each feature, performing an anomaly detection process. The anomaly detection process includes selecting, from a plurality of historical data points of the feature, a set of historical data points. Using a machine learning module, a set of scores, each corresponding to one historical data point, is selected. An anomaly threshold is determined based on the set of scores, and compared with a score corresponding to a current data point of the feature to determine whether the current data point is anomalous or not. When the current data point is anomalous, the anomaly detection process includes identifying the feature as an anomalous feature, and including the anomalous feature and the current data point in an anomaly detection report.

  • Patent number: 11768624
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or computing devices are provided for resilient replication of storage operations. For example, a first storage controller may host first storage having a replication relationship with second storage hosted by a second storage controller. To improve resiliency against transient network issues of a network between the storage controllers, the first storage controller may implement a queue and retry mechanism to retry replication operations not acknowledge back by the second storage controller within a threshold time. The second storage controller may maintain a cumulative sequence number of a latest replication operation performed in order, an operation response map of replication operations performed out of order, and an operation finder map identifying currently implemented replication operations, which may be used to process incoming replication operations. Single write semantics, write order consistency, and reduction of write amplification may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20230300042
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for network monitoring are provided. The method retrieves and processes performance data files from each technology type in the network. These performance data files are then loaded into a time series database. At least one key performance indicator is derived from the data. The performance data is organized by region and pool level and then displayed by region and pool level. The method provides configurable thresholds for key performance indicators and alerts users to those thresholds. The apparatus provides a display allowing both monitoring and test functions to be selected. The display is automatically updated based on a predetermined, selectable time interval.

  • Patent number: 11764985
Abstract: In an approach for improving the virtual meeting user experience, a processor detects a user disengaging from a virtual meeting having at least two participants for a pre-set period of time or for a pre-set percentage of a total allotted time of a pre-scheduled virtual meeting. A processor retrieves data from a database. A processor prepares a summary that is tailored to a profile of the user and that covers a portion of the virtual meeting during which the user was disengaged. A processor detects the user reconnecting to the virtual meeting. A processor determines whether the user will review the summary before rejoining the virtual meeting. Responsive to determining the user will review the summary before rejoining the virtual meeting, a processor prompts the user with a set of default user preferences to review the summary. A processor outputs the summary to the user.

  • Publication number: 20230289264
Abstract: Presented herein are systems and methods for backing up and restoring related backup data stored in different cloud storage tiers in a cloud storage environment. Backup data generated during a backup job is stored to different cloud storage tiers based on the type of data and a storage policy comprising designations of a first cloud storage tier and a second cloud storage tier. Backup metadata and index data is stored in the designated first cloud storage tier and backup payload data is stored in the designated second cloud storage tier. Designations of the storage tiers are based on the attributes associated with each tier of cloud storage. During restore, the backup payload data is recalled from the second storage tier into the first storage tier where it is used to restore to the destination client or customer.
