  • Publication number: 20190297161
Abstract: A method of traffic forwarding and disambiguation through the use of local proxies and addresses. The technique leverages DNS to on-ramp traffic to a local proxy. The local proxy runs on the end user's device. According to a first embodiment, DNS is used to remap what would normally be a wide range of IP addresses to localhost based on 127.0.0.0/8 listening sockets, where the system can then listen for connections and data. In a second embodiment, a localhost proxy based on a TUN/TAP interface (or other packet interception method) with a user-defined CIDR range to which the local DNS server drives traffic is used. Requests on that local proxy are annotated (by adding data to the upstream connection).

  • Patent number: 10414990
Abstract: Processes and apparatus for isomerizing hydrocarbons are provided. The process comprises isomerizing the hydrocarbon feed stream in the presence of an isomerization catalyst and hydrogen in an isomerization zone under isomerization conditions to produce an isomerized stream. The isomerized stream is stabilized in a stabilizer column to provide a stabilizer off-gas stream and a liquid isomerate stream. The stabilizer off gas stream is passed to a net-gas scrubber to obtain a net gas scrubber off-gas stream comprising hydrogen and C1-C4 hydrocarbons. The net gas scrubber off-gas stream is contacted with an absorber liquid feed comprising C5 to C7 hydrocarbons in an absorber column to provide an absorber overhead stream comprising predominantly hydrogen and an absorber bottoms stream comprising predominantly light ends, the light ends comprising C1-C4 hydrocarbons. The absorber overhead stream is passed to the isomerization zone as make-up hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 10416990
Abstract: Methods, systems and non-transitory computer readable media involves receiving information of a new library from a patch management repository. A symbolic link to the new shared library is created and a request to an application process to replace a shared library is communicated. To replace the shared library, the application process periodically checks reference state of the shared library till it reaches a free-state. When the shared library reaches the free-state, the application process unloads the shared library from memory space and loads the new shared library to the memory space. The application process continues performing one or more pre-define functions during the replacement of the shared library.

  • Patent number: 10417304
Abstract: Methods and systems for multiplying a matrix and a vector are described. In an example, the vector may be partitioned into a plurality of vector partitions. The matrix may be partitioned into a plurality of matrix partitions. A plurality of threads may be scheduled to multiply each matrix partition with corresponding vector partition to determine intermediate elements. Intermediate elements determined by each thread may be stored in a local buffer assigned to the corresponding thread. Intermediate elements may be copied from a particular buffer to a memory in response to the particular buffer being full. Upon completion of the plurality of threads, the intermediate elements copied to the memory may be aggregated to generate an output vector that may be a result of multiplication between the matrix and the vector.

  • Publication number: 20190281115
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein address the need to more efficiently backup a network-based storage environment that may be remote from a primary storage environment. For example, embodiments herein can provide a more efficient backup of a storage managed by a third-party entity. To improve the backup process, embodiments herein may optimize the number of scanning threads that are used to identify files that are to be backed up by, for example, analyzing the characteristics of the network and/or the network storage system to determine a number of scanning threads that will enable faster scanning of the network storage system while at the same time not overburden or be slowed down by a network between the network-based storage environment and the primary storage environment.

  • Publication number: 20190278493
Abstract: A scalable approach is disclosed for processing auxiliary-copy jobs in a storage management system by using distributed media agent resources instead of a centralized storage manager. Enhanced media agents coordinate and control auxiliary-copy jobs and tap the storage manager to reserve data streams and provide job-specific metadata on demand. An enhanced storage manager may initially select a media agent as “coordinator” to coordinate auxiliary-copy jobs with any number of other media agents, which act as “controllers.” A coordinator media agent is generally responsible for obtaining data stream reservation information from the storage manager and assigning auxiliary-copy jobs to respective controller media agents, based on the components involved in the respective reserved data streams.

  • Patent number: 10405888
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for manipulating the orientation of a plurality of bone fragments with respect to one another. A bone transport frame including first and second rings, a plurality of elongate struts, and a plurality of ring transport assemblies for orienting a first bone segment with respect to a second bone segment is disclosed. A third ring may be included in the bone transport frame for orienting a third bone segment with respect to the first and second bone segments. Manipulation of an adjustable member of the bone transport frame can transport a ring in either a proximal or distal direction with respect to other rings of the frame. Manipulation of another adjustable member of the bone transport frame can translate a central axis of one of the rings either toward or away from the central axes of the plurality of elongate struts.

  • Patent number: 10409305
Abstract: Systems and methods for HVAC system design and zone group management are disclosed. A floor plan of a building is received, and an HVAC system configuration is selected from among a set of template HVAC configurations. HVAC components are selected from set of template HVAC components to customize the configuration. As components are selected, candidate positions for the HVAC component within the HVAC system configuration are determined and presented to a user to ensure compliance with engineering requirements. The floor plan includes a mapping of an HVAC system configuration to an HVAC zone group. If a change is made to the HVAC system configuration of a zone associated with a zone group, it is determined if another zone group shares the same properties as the changed HVAC configuration. If one exists, the changes]d zone is moved to the new zone group. If not, a new zone group is created and the changes zone is moved to the new zone group.

  • Patent number: 10409819
Abstract: An action framework system provides context-based actions in association with a source application. The source application detects selection of a content element presented by the source application. The content element is associated with an application identifier identifying a target application and an action identifier identifying an operation to be executed by the target application on the content element. The target application identified by the application identifier is executed to perform the operation identified by the action identifier on the content element, responsive to detection of the selection of the content element. In one implementation, the source application is a search feature providing different contexts of search results (e.g., from a local file system search, a local application content search, a Web search, a remote application content search).

  • Publication number: 20190269445
Abstract: A bone plate includes a bone-contacting surface, an upper surface opposite the bone-contacting surface, and a hole having a circumference and extending from the upper surface to the bone-contacting surface. The hole includes a first portion having a plurality of substantially parallel lips, each lip extends around the circumference of the hole and defines a diameter of the hole. The diameters of the hole, as defined by the lips, decrease in a direction from the upper surface to a center of the hole and increase in a direction from the center of the hole toward the bone-contacting surface.

  • Patent number: 10402517
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and corresponding system for modeling a musculo-skeletal system. An embodiment of the method of the invention begins by scaling and positioning a musculo-skeletal model to correspond with motion capture data of a subject. Next, kinematically consistent motion data is generated from the motion capture data and then an inverse dynamic analysis of the musculo-skeletal model is performed using the generated kinematically consistent motion data, such that at least one analysis result is generated. The musculo-skeletal model is then updated to correspond with the at least one analysis result of the inverse dynamic analysis. Finally, the muscle activation of the updated musculo-skeletal model is optimized by determining at least one muscle force using the updated musculo-skeletal model, and by further updating the updated musculo-skeletal model to correspond with the determined at least one muscle force.
