  • Patent number: 12056026
Abstract: An information management system implements a method for determining whether to initiate a failover of a storage manager in the system. Nodes in the system may be assigned as monitoring nodes configured to communicate with a storage manager. Furthermore, each monitoring node may be configured to transmit a status inquiry message to each other monitoring node, and each monitoring node may receive a status inquiry message from each other monitoring node. Each monitoring node may also generate a session message comprising status information, and a plurality of failover nodes may receive the generated session messages. A failover node may then determine whether a failover condition has occurred by applying a plurality of failover rules to the status information of the transmitted session message. Where the failover node determines that a failover condition has occurred, the failover node may activate another storage manager to take place of the presently assigned storage manager.

  • Patent number: 12056018
Abstract: A disclosed framework enables virtually any aggressive Recovery Point Objective (RPO) to be enforced for a production database, without limitation on type of database management system (DBMS) or size of the production database. The framework overcomes technological barriers of the prior art, such as bottlenecks presented by a storage manager computer that traditionally managed database backups. To avoid the bottlenecks, an illustrative data storage management system does not engage the storage manager computer in storage operations that could impact the database RPO. Certain components are added and enhanced to autonomously capture database transaction logs, which are stored securely and persistently away from the DBMS. In a separate and less frequent operation, and with involvement of the storage manager computer, the illustrative system generates secondary copies in their final form. Meanwhile, temporary backup files can be used in restore operations without first being converted into secondary copies.

  • Publication number: 20240254715
Abstract: An integral geogrid includes a plurality of interconnected, oriented strands having an array of openings therein that is produced from a coextruded multilayer polymer sheet starting material. By virtue of the construction, the coextruded multilayer sheet components provide a crystalline synergistic effect during extrusion and orientation of the integral geogrid, resulting in enhanced material properties that provide performance benefits to use of the integral geogrid in soil geosynthetic reinforcement.

  • Publication number: 20240256490
Abstract: Data storage operations, including content-indexing, containerized deduplication, and policy-driven storage, are performed within a cloud environment. The systems support a variety of clients and cloud storage sites that may connect to the system in a cloud environment that requires data transfer over wide area networks, such as the Internet, which may have appreciable latency and/or packet loss, using various network protocols, including HTTP and FTP. Methods are disclosed for content indexing data stored within a cloud environment to facilitate later searching, including collaborative searching. Methods are also disclosed for performing containerized deduplication to reduce the strain on a system namespace, effectuate cost savings, etc. Methods are disclosed for identifying suitable storage locations, including suitable cloud storage sites, for data files subject to a storage policy.

  • Publication number: 20240257511
Abstract: One example aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a neural network for machine vision. The neural network may include a stem block that includes a set of stem layers. The neural network may additionally include a visual transformer block. The set of stem layers may include a patch layer, a first normalization layer, an embedding layer, and a second normalization layer. The patch layer subdivides an input image into a set of image patches. The first normalization layer generates a set of normalized image patches by performing a first normalization process on each image patch of the set of image patches. The patch layer feeds forward to the first normalization layer. The embedding layer generates a set of vector embeddings. Each vector embedding of the set of embedding vectors is a projection of a corresponding normalized image patch from the set of normalized image patches onto a visual token. The first normalization layer feeds forward to the embedding layer.

  • Patent number: 12050562
Abstract: In various embodiments, a process for dynamically mapping and un-mapping data includes generating a first mapping that maps each of at least a subset of phases defined in a first schema to a corresponding source schema phase associated with a source set of records and generating a second mapping that maps each of at least a subset of phases defined in a second schema to a corresponding phase defined in the first schema. The process includes using the first mapping and the second mapping to provide shared access to records comprising data from the source set of records, at least in part by: using the first mapping to obtain and store, in the memory, data comprising one or more records from the source set of records; and using the second mapping to provide shared access to said data comprising one or more records from the source set of records.

  • Patent number: 12047472
Abstract: An improved information management system that implements a staging area or cache to temporarily store primary data in a native format before the primary data is converted into secondary copies in a secondary format is described herein. For example, the improved information management system can include various media agents that each include one or more high speed drives. When a client computing device provides primary data for conversion into secondary copies, the primary data can initially be stored in the native format in the high speed drive(s). If the client computing device then submits a request for the primary data, the media agent can simply retrieve the primary data from the high speed drive(s) and transmit the primary data to the client computing device. Because the primary data is already in the native format, no conversion operations are performed by the media agent, thereby reducing the restore delay.

  • Publication number: 20240232202
Abstract: Generating reports from database is conventionally performed manually which requires skilled persons, time consuming and prone to errors. Thus, embodiments of present disclosure provide a no-code platform for generating reports as a transaction. User selects a slice object, its information attributes, report attributes, and optionally filters, grouping, splitting, and sorting conditions which are displayed by the no-code platform. Further, a database query is generated based on the user selection by the no code platform. The database query is then executed to retrieve data from a database. Finally, a report is generated based on the retrieved data and the report attributes. Thus, users can obtain reports as a transaction by just specifying their requirements. They need not know the complex structure of the database. Also, the method can be used to generate any type of report from any type of database irrespective of the internal data organization of the database.

  • Patent number: 12033099
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are described for on-demand launching of an interface on a compute cluster. The interface enables a user to interact with an application while the application is executing on the compute cluster. A job request associated with the application is received. Responsive to the job request, a determination is made if the interface has already been launched on the compute cluster responsive to an earlier-received job request. If the interface has not already been launched, launch instructions are transmitted to the compute cluster to cause the interface to be launched on the compute cluster. Job instructions are transmitted to the compute cluster to cause the application to be executed on the compute cluster.
