  • Publication number: 20040117407
Abstract: The current invention provides a system for managing resources like application modules, databases, information repositories etc., monitoring transactions and transmitting data among systems. The system comprises a policy definition layer, a policy deployment layer and a policy execution layer. The policy definition layer provides for creating, editing and visualizing policies through a user interface using intuitive simple language constructs. The policy deployment layer converts the created policies into a relational format that can be directly stored in a policy database. The policy execution layer executes the deployed policies on occurrence of an event. A resource abstraction and notification layer provides the interfacing of the resources with the policy definition layer, policy deployment layer and the policy execution layer.

  • Publication number: 20040098577
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for dynamically booting processor code memory with a wait instruction is presented herein. A wait instruction precedes the transfer of a new code portion to the code memory. The wait instruction causes the processor to temporarily cease using the code memory. When the processor ceases using the code memory, the processor signals a direct memory access (DMA) module to transfer a new code portion to the code memory. The DMA module transfers the new code portion to the code memory and transmits a signal to the processor when the transfer is completed. The signal causes the processor to resume. When the processor resumes, the processor begins executing the instructions at the next code address.

  • Publication number: 20040061524
Abstract: A voltage level translator for digital logic circuits provides high level to low level voltage translation with equal rise and fall delays. The voltage level translator may include an input high voltage logic inverter (operating at the high voltage level) and connected to an output low voltage logic inverter operating at the low voltage level via a voltage reduction circuit. A related method for providing high level to low voltage translation may include providing an input inverter operating at the high voltage level and an output inverter operating at the low voltage level. Furthermore, the output of the high voltage inverter may be coupled to the input of the low voltage inverter after reducing the output voltage of the high voltage inverter to the required level.

  • Publication number: 20040029234
Abstract: A method for enhancing a host cell's biosynthetic production of 2-KLG is described. Such method comprises selecting a host cell that has an at least partially intracellular synthetic pathway which utilizes 2,5-DKG to produce 2-KLG; increasing the transport of said 2,5-DKG into said host cell while maintaining the integrity of the host cell; culturing the host cell to produce said 2,5-DKG; and producing 2-KLG. The transport of the 2,5-DKG is increased by transforming into the host cell DNA encoding for one or more enzymes transporting the 2,5-DKG into the host cell.

  • Patent number: 6653717
Abstract: A semiconductor device and process for making the same are disclosed which use reticulated conductors and a width-selective planarizing interlevel dielectric (ILD) deposition process to improve planarity of an interconnect layer. Reticulated conductor 52 is used in place of a solid conductor where the required solid conductor width would be greater than a process and design dependent critcal width (conductors smaller than the critical width may be planarized by an appropriate ILD deposition). The reticulated conductor is preferably formed of integrally-formed conductive segments with widths less than the critical width, such that an ILD 32 formed by a process such as a high density plasma oxide deposition (formed by decomposition of silane in an oxygen-argon atmosphere with a back-sputtering bias) or spin-coating planarizes the larger, reticulated conductor as it would a solid conductor of less than critical width. Using such a technique, subsequent ILD planarization steps by, e.g.
