  • Publication number: 20160328848
Abstract: Methods and systems for imaging tissue of a subject are disclosed, and involve illuminating the tissue with a coherent light having a coherent wavelength, acquiring image data of the tissue using a color image sensor, and processing the image data using laser speckle contrast analysis while correcting for differences in sensitivity of color pixels at the coherent wavelength to generate a perfusion image of the tissue. The perfusion image is then displayed to the user. Also disclosed are methods and systems for correcting for ambient light and for acquiring white light images along with laser speckle images.

Abstract: A CO2 cooling system includes a compression stage in which CO2 refrigerant is compressed; a cooling stage in which the CO2 refrigerant releases heat; a CO2 liquid receiver in which the CO2 refrigerant is accumulated in liquid and gaseous states; an evaporation stage in which the CO2 refrigerant, having released heat in the cooling stage, absorbs heat. The evaporation stage has first and second evaporation sectors; a first metering device for feeding CO2 refrigerant into the first evaporation sector at a first pressure; and a second metering device for feeding CO2 refrigerant into the second evaporation sector at a second pressure. The first metering device and the second metering device are operated independently from one another. A plurality of CO2 transfer lines connects the compression stage, the cooling stage, the CO2 liquid receiver and the evaporation stage. The CO2 refrigerant is circulable in a closed-loop circuit.

  • Patent number: 9441342
Abstract: Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a modular retaining wall for a material to be retained, using only blocks which in and of themselves are of insufficient thickness to function as retaining wall blocks. The modular wall includes backer blocks and facing blocks which are connected by separate connectors in a back to back, spaced apart arrangement, thereby forming a hollow retaining wall. The hollow wall is filled with loose filler material to increase the mass and retaining capacity of the wall. None of the wall components is embedded in the material to be retained. Further disclosed are wall components and a wall kit for a modular retaining wall. A double sided decorative wall is also disclosed. The modular wall system allows for the construction of retaining walls and freestanding, double sided, decorative walls forming both straight and curved walls.

  • Patent number: 9436762
Abstract: Configurations for sharing an instance of an executing process for a plug-in based on a session and a cookie data store associated with the session are disclosed. A cookie data store can be associated with a tab running in a corresponding security mode. By way of example, instead of initiating a new process for the plug-in in a new tab, the subject technology can first determine whether a previous tab is running an instance of a plug-in process. If this is the case, the subject technology can then determine whether the previous tab is running in the same security mode (e.g., protected or unprotected) as the new tab. The subject technology then shares the existing plug-in process in the previous tab without instantiating a new plug-in process in the new tab.

  • Publication number: 20160240755
Abstract: A hollow frame is configured to surround the periphery of a substantially self-supporting flip-chip light emitting device. The frame may be shaped to also contain a wavelength conversion element above the light emitting surface of the light emitting device. • Publication number: 20160220822
Abstract: This disclosure describes, among other embodiments, systems and related methods for selecting electrode combinations to be used during nerve pacing procedures. A first set of electrode combinations of a nerve pacing system, such as a phrenic nerve pacing system for diaphragm activation, may be mapped (or tested) to determine the location of the electrode combinations relative to a target nerve. Once the general location of the target nerve is known, a more localized second set of electrode combinations may be tested to determine the most suitable electrode combinations for nerve stimulation. At various stages of the mapping process, electrode combinations that are non-optimal may be discarded as candidates for use in a nerve pacing procedure. The systems and methods described herein may allow for the selection of electrode combinations that are most suitable for stimulation of the left and right phrenic nerves during diaphragm pacing.

  • Publication number: 20160223374
Abstract: A flow meter records a flow rate and/or an amount of heat of a flowing fluid. A control and evaluation unit ascertains flow rate data and the fitting-dependent direction of through flow is automatically ascertained. A temperature measuring device has first and second temperature sensors for ascertaining a temperature difference between a feed temperature in the feed and a return temperature in the return. The fitting location of the first and second temperature sensors in the feed or the return is automatically ascertained by the control and evaluation unit on the basis of the temperature difference. The control and evaluation unit is automatically configured during first-time or re-installation of the flow meter such that the direction of flow through the meter is adapted to the fitted direction of through flow and/or the temperature sensors are assigned to the feed and the return, respectively.

  • Patent number: 9397623
Abstract: A transadmittance amplifier stage is coupled to a transimpedance amplifier stage to form a continuous time linear equalizer. The transadmittance amplifier stage has first and second gain paths and is configured to input a first signal and output a second signal. The first gain path is configured to provide a DC gain recovery and a first high frequency gain to the first signal. The second gain path is configured to provide a second high frequency gain to the first signal. The second signal is generated by the transadmittance amplifier stage based on the gain recovery of the first signal and the high frequency gains of the first signal. The transimpedance amplifier stage is configured to input the second signal from the transadmittance amplifier stage and convert the second signal to an output voltage signal.
