  • Publication number: 20210334705
Abstract: A RF Environment Learning Module includes a machine learning/artificial intelligence sensing controller process that schedules feature vector extractors and one or more machine learning (ML) signal classifiers in order to classify received radio signals and a ML-based validation process that reasons over the classification results to determine if they are valid or reasonable.

  • Patent number: 11158958
Abstract: A dual band antenna that allows the independent optimization of each frequency band by adjusting the sizes of the antenna elements. For example, an antenna may have two different drivers, one for the high-frequency and one for the low frequency. By using elements orthogonally connected to the low frequency driver, the low frequency driver can function as both a reflector to the high frequency drivers and the low frequency driver without affecting the antenna's performance in the high frequency. The antenna may also have parasitic elements. For example, parasitic directors parallel to the high frequency band driver can be configured to improve performance in the high frequency band. Pairs of additional parasitic directors can be orthogonally connected these directors. These pairs can be adjusted in size to improve performance in the low frequency band with minimal impact on performance in the high frequency band.

  • Patent number: 11150341
Abstract: The present invention includes systems and methods for a continuous-wave (CW) radar system for detecting, geolocating, identifying, discriminating between, and mapping ferrous and non-ferrous metals in brackish and saltwater environments. The CW radar system generates multiple extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves simultaneously and uses said waves to detect, locate, and classify objects of interest. These objects include all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as changing material boundary layers (e.g., soil to water, sand to mud, rock to organic materials, water to air, etc.). The CW radar system is operable to detect objects of interest in near real-time.

  • Patent number: 11141128
Abstract: The techniques disclosed may be used to detect and correct channel gain errors resulting from X-ray focal spot mis-alignment during the course of a scan. One benefit of the present invention relative to conventional techniques is that additional hardware is not required for detection of focal spot drift. Instead, the static mis-alignment of each blade is taken into account as part of estimating and correcting X-ray focal spot drift or mis-alignment. In this manner, the risk of image artefacts due to focal spot motion is reduced and the need for costly hardware solutions to detect focal spot motion is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20210304848
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for comparing a first biosequence string with a second biosequence string to assess similarity between those biosequence strings. For example, a field programmable gate array (FPGA) can be used to (1) detect substrings of the second biosequence string that are matches to substrings of the first biosequence string, and (2) map the detected substrings of the second biosequence string to corresponding positions in the first biosequence string where the detected substrings are located based on a data structure that links substrings of the first biosequence string to positions in the first biosequence string where the substrings of the first biosequence string are located. These operations can be used to seed an alignment between the first and second biosequence strings that permits comparisons to be performed over longer substrings of the first and second biosequence strings so that similarities between those longer substrings can be quantified.

  • Publication number: 20210303785
Abstract: Methods for calculating nutrient content information. In one embodiment, the methods comprise: receiving a recipe having a list of ingredients and quantities, for each of the ingredients a corresponding record is found within a database of known records, the records are associated to quantities and nutritional values. The units of measurement of the recipe ingredients and the identified record are compared. When the units are the same, no conversion is performed. When the units are different, the units of the known record are converted using a conversion factor derived from a relationship between the differing units of measurement. In one variant, the conversion factor may be identified from a table of conversion factors relating various units of measurement to one another. Finally, the converted or the known nutritional values are multiplied by a ratio of the quantity of the ingredient in the recipe to the quantity of the known record.

  • Patent number: 11125486
Abstract: An adjustable ice crusher includes a first plate having a crushing surface and a second plate having a crushing surface. The crushing surface of the second plate is angled relative to the crushing surface of the first plate such that a crushing zone is defined between the crushing surfaces of the first and second plates. A motor is coupled to the second plate such that the second plate is rotatable with the motor. The first and second plates are configured to crush ice in the crushing zone during operation of the motor. The first plate is rotatable relative to the second plate such that an angle defined between the crushing surface of the first plate and the crushing surface of the second plate is adjustable in order to vary a size of crushed ice chips from the crushing zone.

  • Publication number: 20210279053
Abstract: A configuration package receives user-generated input that configures a decision service to generate decision data. The configuration package includes artifacts and the user-generated input selects the artifacts from an artifact library in a configuration database. A configured decision service is generated, where the generating includes receiving, by a decision service factory, the configuration package. Also, the decision service factory receives a decision template including configurable decision elements and non-configurable decision elements. Further, the decision service factory receives a user configuration specifying a parameter in the corresponding artifact. The artifact from the configuration package, the user configuration and the decision template are combined to generate the configured decision service. The configured decision service receives, from a client computer, input for each of the configurable decision elements.

  • Patent number: 11074071
Abstract: An embodiment includes storing original environment data in a memory of a computing device, then sourcing a script in a child command shell that includes an environment variable set-up command for setting an environmental characteristic of a new computing environment associated with the child command shell. The new environment data is also stored in the memory of the computing device that defines the new computing environment associated with the child command shell. The original computing environment is then restored by terminating the child command shell and returning to the target command shell. The original environment data is compared to the new environment data to determine the differences between the two environments, and the original computing environment is then modified to match the new computing environment created by the sourced script.
