  • Publication number: 20080177795
Abstract: An Enterprise Service Delivery Technical Architecture includes a Technical Model, and a Technical Delivery Framework, and is designed to facilitate the development of complete enterprise service management solutions. The use of the Enterprise Service Delivery Technical Architecture as the framework for an enterprise systems management technical solution results in solution designs created to be independent of the technology platform being managed with a view that meets the overall business requirements that span the technology platforms within a business environment. An information technology infrastructure already in place for a customer is analyzed and broken down to its very lowest level building blocks. Then the building blocks within the model of the technical architecture are mapped with the building blocks of the customer's information technology infrastructure to determine which of the building blocks of the model are to be used for the customer's information technology operation.

  • Patent number: 7398714
Abstract: A hand held, one touch jar opener can be placed on a jar and activated with a momentary touch of a button. An epicyclic gear train is set to sequentially provide a grip on a jar, and on a lid, followed by development of torque needed to move the lid in a counterclockwise direction with respect to the jar. The principles embodied in the opener shown can be realized in an opener which can be manually powered, or preferably motorized and possibly highly automated. A differential geartrain provides reduction of speed and increase in torque and then provides two balanced and opposing forces through the epicyclic gear assembly having sun and planet gears. This configuration enables a wide variety of screw-on lids and jars to be automatically closed to match the correct diameters, apply a gripping force and then apply torque in an opposing direction.

  • Publication number: 20080150150
Abstract: System and method for filling vias in integrated circuits A preferred embodiment comprises forming a spacer layer on a substrate, forming a via with walls and a bottom in the spacer layer, depositing a conformal conductive layer on the spacer layer and on the walls and bottom of the via, spinning-on a photo-definable material on the conductive layer, forming a fill layer on the conductive layer and filling the via, exposing portions of the fill layer to an exposing light using a photomask, developing the fill layer to remove select portions of the fill layer and leave a portion of the fill layer filling the via, and removing the spacer layer. The use of a spin-on photo-definable material increases the material's filling and planarizing capabilities, while enabling a reduction in the number of process steps, which may reduce the likelihood of manufacturing defects, thereby increasing manufacturing yield.

  • Patent number: 7383607
Abstract: An agitation apparatus which is suitable for use in a cleaning head of a vacuum cleaner includes first and second flow paths. Each of these flow paths has a resonant cavity and an inlet/outlet port which joins the cavity to a space within the cleaning head. A generator, such as a loudspeaker with a diaphragm, generates an alternating pressure wave between the ports. Pressure waves are emitted from one of the ports in an anti-phase relationship with the pressure waves from the other of the ports, thus reducing operating noise. Due to both sides of the generator or diaphragm being exposed to an equal static pressure, the generator operates more reliably. A plurality of these arrangements can be provided across the cleaning head, and a part of the agitation apparatus, such as the driver, can be mounted on the main body of the vacuum cleaner.

  • Publication number: 20080132148
Abstract: The spacing between an abrasive type surface polishing tool and the surface of the work piece that is being polished is controlled dynamically so that variations in the area of the abrasive pad in contact with the surface of the work piece compensated, thereby eliminating size variations in this contact area and the accompanying variations in material removal that produce surface height fluctuations.

  • Publication number: 20080128891
Abstract: A semiconductor package substrate suitable for supporting a damage-sensitive device and a package substrate core having an upper and a lower surface. At least one pair of metal layers coats the upper and lower surfaces of the package substrate core. One pair of solder mask layers coats the outer metal layers of the at least one pair of metal layers. A plurality of vias is formed across the package substrate core and the at least one pair of metal layers. Advantageously, the plurality of vias is substantially distributed according to a homogeneous pattern in an area that is to be covered by the damage-sensitive device. A method for the production of such semiconductor package substrate is also described.
