  • Publication number: 20220405487
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is provided that includes accessing candidate text and a candidate pair including first and second phrases, substituting the first and second phrases into cause-effect patterns to generate variant sentences. An artificial intelligence model is leveraged to determine respective probabilities that the variant sentences are inferred from the candidate text, calculate a statistical measure of the respective probabilities, and assess the calculated statistical measure to ascertain whether the first and second phrases possess a causal relationship or non-causal relationship to one another. A knowledge base including one or more pairs of cause-effect phrase pairs is populated with the first and second phrases possessing the causal relationship. A computer system and a computer program product are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11531620
Abstract: A data processing network includes request nodes with local memories accessible as a distributed virtual memory (DVM) and coupled by an interconnect fabric. Multiple DVM domains are assigned, each containing a DVM node for handling DVM operation requests from request nodes in the domain. On receipt of a request, a DVM node sends a snoop message to other request nodes in its domain and sends a snoop message to one or more peer DVM nodes in other DVM domains. The DVM node receives snoop responses from the request nodes and from the one or more peer DVM nodes, and send a completion message to the first request node. Each peer DVM node sends snoop messages to the request nodes in its domain, collects snoop responses, and sends a single response to the originating DVM node. In this way, DVM operations are performed in parallel.

  • Patent number: 11528277
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for authenticating requests to access one or more accounts over a network using authenticity evaluations of two or more automated decision engines are discussed. A login request for access to a user account may be submitted to multiple decision engines that each apply different rulesets for authenticating the login request, and output an evaluation of the authenticity of the login request. Based on evaluations from multiple automated decision engines, the login request may be allowed to proceed to validation of user identity and, if user identity is validated, access to the user account may be authorized. Based on the evaluations, the login attempt may also be rejected. One or more additional challenge question may be returned to the computing device used to request account access, and the login request allowed to proceed to validation of identity if the response to the challenge question is deemed acceptable.

  • Patent number: 11507880
Abstract: Monitoring and automatically remediating issues that arise at run-time during integrations between Application Program Interfaces (APIs) of two or more endpoint products over an integration framework. The monitoring is facilitated by inserting specialized modules into the integration framework that detects changes in the outputs of the integrated endpoint products and attempts to remedy them by automatically adjusting the output in-transit towards a destination endpoint. The specialized modules can be enhanced by machine learning algorithms trained on previously successful remedies. Remedies may be directed towards schema variations and performance drifts, among others.

  • Publication number: 20220366913
Abstract: A virtual agent that utilizes an in-house natural language understanding (NLU) service and integrates a third party NLU service. The third-party NLU service is integrated with the virtual agent via a transformation script that establishes a transformation boundary through which communications are directed for adjustment and conditioning. The third party NLU service communicates with the virtual agent via an application programming interface (API). The virtual agent receives an utterance from a user via a chat session and provides the utterance to the third party NLU service. The third party NLU service may return intents, entities, and confidence, generate and return a response, and/or take actions within the cloud-based platform via the API, dependent upon the degree of integration. The virtual agent then provides a response to the user via the chat session.
