  • Publication number: 20210148008
Abstract: A system and method includes a seed roll of a saw type gin stand which can easily be inspected in an efficient and safe manner within the normal course of operation. The monitoring of the seed roll is desirable for prediction of irregularities that could significantly hamper the production of a ginning facility. This monitoring can take place by manual inspection with the eye or touch of the operator. In addition, this feature will facilitate the opportunity to introduce a new automatic process by which the control system can monitor the seed roll in order to improve overall productivity of the gin stand.

  • Publication number: 20210149833
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for handling ordered transactions. The apparatus has a plurality of completer elements to process transactions, a requester element to issue a sequence of ordered transactions, and an interconnect providing, for each completer element, a communication channel between that completer element and the requester element for transfer of signals between that completer element and the requester element in either direction. A given completer element that is processing a given transaction in the sequence is arranged to issue a response signal to the requester element over its associated communication channel that comprises an ordered channel indication to identify whether the associated communication channel has an ordered channel property. The ordered channel property guarantees that processing of transactions issued by the requester element over the associated communication channel in a given order will be completed by the given completer element in the same given order.

  • Patent number: 11002300
Abstract: A flow conditioning system for a duct. The flow conditioning system includes a preconditioner that modifies upstream fluid flow that is maldistributed, providing predictable downstream flow to fluid flowing within the duct. The directional flow conditioner also includes a stationary flow geometry structure downstream of the preconditioner. The stationary flow geometry structure further conditions the upstream fluid flow from the preconditioner to provide a downstream flow with a substantially uniform flow profile. The flow conditioning system transforms upstream fluids having a maldistributed flow profile such as may be caused by a component, structure or obstruction within the duct to a substantially uniform flow profile downstream of the flow conditioning system within the available axial duct length so that the fluid may interact efficiently with equipment such as heat exchangers positioned within the duct downstream of the flow conditioning system.

  • Patent number: 11001401
Abstract: An exemplary method of making packages includes advancing a web of connected bags to a position where an opening of the bag is below an engagement device and opening the engagement device. Additionally, the exemplary method includes blowing the opening of the bag to a partially opened configuration, and reverse indexing the web of connected bags so that a portion of the engagement device is disposed inside of the bag and a portion of the engagement device is disposed outside the bag. Subsequently, the exemplary method includes closing the engagement device so that the engagement device engages the bag and moving the engagement device to a position that causes the opening of the bag to have a rectangular shape.

  • Publication number: 20210133747
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for authenticating account holders using dynamic PINs. The methods may include receiving a transaction request from a vendor with the transaction request including a security number. The security number may be associated with an account holder. A dynamic PIN may be generated based at least in part on the time. The method may match the dynamic PIN to the security number associated with the account holder. The method may also include approving the transaction request from the vendor in response to the dynamic PIN matching the security number associated with the account holder. The method may further include the steps of generating a block including transaction information in response to the transaction request, broadcasting the block to a network for approval, adding the block to a blockchain in response to the approval, and generating the dynamic PIN.

  • Publication number: 20210107009
Abstract: Disclosed herein are flask clamps that capture and firmly hold flasks or vessels of various shapes, enclosing the sidewall of the flask or vessel in a trap or loops. The trap relatively conforms to the profile of the perimeter of the vessel and are spring loaded in the upward direction in order to rise upward along the sides of the vessel. The loops pivot relative to the bottom of the flask creating an arc motion that tightens against the sidewall as it rises. The loaded loops are in tension against the flask, and the multiplicity of loops hold vessels in tension with opposing forces.

  • Patent number: 10975967
Abstract: A split seal ring having end faces that self-align in both the axial and radial directions is prepared by forming an opposing first pair of angled grooves extending from an inner edge partway across the seal ring inner diameter, and a second pair of angled grooves extending from the inner edge partway across the seal ring rear surface. In embodiments, corresponding grooves meet to form V-shapes. Additional grooves can extend from the outer edge partway across the inner diameter. Corresponding grooves extending from the outer and inner edges on the inner diameter can terminate at locations that are offset radially and/or angularly. By applying an outward force, the seal ring is split at the groove locations into split ring sections having mating end faces. The resulting end face geometry is sufficiently complex to cause both radial and axial realignment as the seal ring halves are mated together.

  • Publication number: 20210103460
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods of operating apparatuses, interconnects for connecting apparatuses to one another, and methods of operating the interconnects are disclosed. A master apparatus can issue an individual all-zero-data write transaction specifying a data storage location to the interconnect, which conveys the individual all-zero-data write transaction to a target device which writes all-zero-data at the data storage location. No write data is conveyed with the individual all-zero-data write transaction, so that the individual all-zero-data write transaction may be used to clear the data storage location without adding to congestion of a write data channel in the interconnect.

  • Patent number: 10972485
Abstract: In a threat management platform, a number of endpoints log events in an event data recorder. A local agent filters this data and feeds a filtered data stream to a central threat management facility. The central threat management facility can locally or globally tune filtering by local agents based on the current data stream, and can query local event data recorders for additional information where necessary or helpful in threat detection or forensic analysis. The central threat management facility also stores and deploys a number of security tools such as a web-based user interface supported by machine learning models to identify potential threats requiring human intervention and other models to provide human-readable context for evaluating potential threats.

  • Patent number: 10965683
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for authenticating requests to access one or more accounts over a network using authenticity evaluations of two or more automated decision engines are discussed. A login request for access to a user account may be submitted to multiple decision engines that each apply different rulesets for authenticating the login request, and output an evaluation of the authenticity of the login request. Based on evaluations from multiple automated decision engines, the login request may be allowed to proceed to validation of user identity and, if user identity is validated, access to the user account may be authorized. Based on the evaluations, the login attempt may also be rejected. One or more additional challenge question may be returned to the computing device used to request account access, and the login request allowed to proceed to validation of identity if the response to the challenge question is deemed acceptable.

  • Patent number: 10964665
Abstract: A programmable circuit includes an array of printed groups of microscopic transistors or diodes. The devices are pre-formed and printed as an ink and cured. The devices in each group are connected in parallel so that each group acts as a single device. In one embodiment, about 10 devices are contained in each group so the redundancy makes each group very reliable. Each group has at least one electrical lead that terminates in a patch area on the substrate. An interconnection conductor pattern interconnects at least some of the leads of the groups in the patch area to create logic circuits for a customized application of the generic circuit. The groups may also be interconnected to be logic gates, and the gate leads terminate in the patch area. The interconnection conductor pattern then interconnects the gates for form complex logic circuits.

  • Patent number: 10963569
Abstract: A security driver loads early in the boot process for a compute instance and detects processes that are subsequently launched and/or terminated. The detected processes can be recorded, and then scanned with any suitable malware scanning tool(s) once a user mode is available on the compute instance, including any processes that are terminated before such scanning tools are launched. After the operating system is installed and a user mode is available, other scanning tools may also be deployed (e.g., in the user mode) to augment security of the compute instance.
