  • Patent number: 11531587
Abstract: Methods and systems for decoding raw data may select a preliminary read-level voltage from a sequence of read-level voltages based on a decoding success indicator and execute a preliminary hard decoding operation to decode raw data read from a plurality of memory cells using the preliminary read-level voltage. If the preliminary hard decoding operation is successful, the decoded data from the hard decoding operation is returned. If the preliminary hard decoding operation is unsuccessful, a multi-stage decoding operation may be executed to decode raw data read from the plurality of memory cells using the sequence of read-level voltages, and returning decoded data from the multi-stage decoding operation upon completion of the multi-stage decoding operation. The decoding success indicator is maintained based on results of the preliminary hard decoding operation or the multi-stage decoding operation.

  • Publication number: 20220370214
Abstract: A prosthetic socket includes a conical cup, an outer layer on the outer surface of the conical cup, and a reinforcement layer on the inner surface of the conical cup. The prosthetic socket is shapeable after being heated to a shaping temperature. The outer layer is less malleable than the conical cup at the shaping temperature but has a higher rigidity than the conical cup at the shaping temperature and has smoother outer surface than an outer surface of the conical cup. The reinforcement layer has a higher resistance against circumferential stress than the conical cup. A residual limb or a model of a residual limb can be inserted into the preformed prosthetic socket. The prosthetic socket is then heated to the shaping temperature and molded to conform to the contour of the residual limb or the model to form a prosthetic socket.

  • Patent number: 11486103
Abstract: This invention is a novel retroreflective traffic stripe comprising a widely spaced repeating pattern of linear light turning prisms over cube corner retroreflective prisms in a critical optimal configuration. The light turning prisms comprise at least two exposed surfaces, one approximately vertical facing the headlights of oncoming traffic, and another opposing the first and sloped by approximately 45 degrees. The approximately vertical surface efficiently accepts light from the headlights and transmits such light to the sloped surface which totally internally reflects such light downward onto an array of cube corner retroreflective prisms, which totally internally reflect such light in approximately the reverse direction.

  • Publication number: 20220331619
Abstract: An airflow device configured for creating an air barrier includes a fan, a power source, a laminar assembly, and an attachment mechanism. The power source is coupled to the fan. The laminar assembly includes a plurality of tubes and is coupled to the fan so that air flow generated by the fan passes through the plurality of tubes to create the air barrier. The attachment mechanism attaches the laminar assembly to a user in a location near the user's head such that the air barrier created by the laminar assembly is positioned in front of the user's face. A plenum is positioned between the fan and the laminar assembly such that the air flow generated by the fan passes through the plenum and then through the laminar assembly. The airflow device acts as a face shield that protects the user from airborne contaminants and viruses.
