  • Patent number: 7464542
Abstract: An exhaust gas purification system for an internal combustion engine can quickly recover the exhaust gas purification ability of an exhaust gas purification device by increasing opportunities to release the SOx occluded in the exhaust gas purification device. In the exhaust gas purification system having the exhaust gas purification device having the property of occluding the SOx in the exhaust gas emitted from the internal combustion engine and collecting particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas, when the load of the internal combustion engine falls within a load range in which SOx poisoning recovery control can be executed, during the time when the particulate matter is oxidized and removed by collection ability regeneration control (S105), the collection ability regeneration control is interrupted and the SOx poisoning recovery control is executed (S106, S107).

  • Publication number: 20080255268
Abstract: A friction material contains a friction adjuster, a binder and an inorganic filler. The friction material further contains randomly shaped rubber chips which contain machining dust derived from friction material, and rubber binding the machining dust. The rubber chips are preferably sized so as to pass through a 16-mesh sieve. Since the friction material contains machining dust of friction materials, it is possible to reduce wastes and the cost of the friction material. Still, the friction material shows sufficient basic properties comparable to conventional friction materials, including environmental friendliness, braking effect, and reduced squeal and other noise.

  • Publication number: 20080251330
Abstract: A brake shoe is proposed which includes a lining containing a rubber of the type which becomes ebonite when vulcanized. An elastic interlayer is disposed between the lining and an adhesive layer through which the lining is bonded to the shoe body. The interlayer serves as a stress relief layer, thereby preventing the lining from peeling off the shoe body when the brake shoe is subjected to thermal history.

  • Publication number: 20080168240
Abstract: The present invention aims at providing a storage apparatus that does not increase the I/O load on a primary volume, even if there are several secondary volumes for which data consistency with the primary volume should be guaranteed. A storage apparatus writes write data for write access directed to a primary volume P to a secondary volume S1. A controller in the storage apparatus copies that write data from the secondary volume S1 to secondary volumes. S2 and S3 in background processing. The storage apparatus uses bitmaps to manage data in the secondary volume S1 shared by each of the secondary volumes S2 and S3.

  • Publication number: 20080161156
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus includes a controller. When predetermined conditions are satisfied, the controller executes a neutral control that forcibly places an automatic transmission in a substantially neutral state, the predetermined conditions including the shift position of the automatic transmission being in the drive position. When it is determined that the amount of exhaust matter accumulated in a catalyst provided in an exhaust system of a vehicle has exceeded a first reference value, the controller executes a catalyst heating control that increases the temperature of the catalyst so as to remove the exhaust matter accumulated in the catalyst. When it is determined during the catalyst heating control that the amount of the exhaust matter accumulated in the catalyst has exceeded a second reference value that is larger than the first reference value, the controller prohibits the execution of the neutral control.

  • Patent number: 7331999
Abstract: The invention provides a production method of a solid electrolytic capacitor capable of efficiently producing a solid electrolytic capacitor consisting of a stack of capacitor elements. For producing a solid electrolytic capacitor consisting of a stack of capacitor elements 2, plural sets of capacitor element groups 27 each consisting of a plurality of capacitor elements 2 arranged in a comb teeth pattern are first formed on one side of an aluminum strip 25. Subsequently, an electroconductive adhesive 15 is applied onto an electric conductor layer 12 of each capacitor element 2. Then the aluminum strip 25 is bent so as to be wound, to superimpose the respective capacitor elements 2 in the plural sets of capacitor element groups 27 on each other. Thereafter, in that state the electroconductive adhesive 15 applied previously is cured to form a plurality of capacitor element laminates 3. Next, the plurality of capacitor element laminates 3 are cut off and separated from the aluminum strip 25.

  • Publication number: 20080022656
Abstract: In a transient state, where the temperature at the distal end of a fuel adding valve enters a high temperature region, an addition amount for preventing clogging is not simply added in accordance with a map, but instead, delay in the rise of the temperature of the fuel adding valve in the transient state is taken into consideration, and the addition amount for preventing clogging is calculated on the basis of the elapsed time after the point in time when the temperature at the distal end of the fuel adding valve enters the distal end high temperature region and the drive state of the engine (for example, the number of rotations of the engine), and thus, addition is carried out (steps ST4 to ST6). Such addition control makes it possible to add an appropriate fuel addition amount for the rise in temperature of the fuel adding valve in the transient state, and thus, wasteful fuel addition is reduced.
