    Abstract: This invention provides a technique for displaying a suitable image even when displaying, as a movie display image or still image display image, a frame image which forms a movie. When it is represented to display a frame image as a movie display image, a multiple outline removal unit updates the frame image by blurring an outline in the frame image. An image output unit outputs the updated frame image as a movie display image. When it is represented to display a frame image as a still image display image, a motion blur removal unit updates the frame image by removing a motion blur from the frame image. The image output unit outputs the updated frame image as a still image display image.
