  • Patent number: 5371536
Abstract: A method of automatically controlling an image pick-up position of an object includes the steps of compressively coding the derived image data and producing valid image data. An image plane is divided into a plurality of divisional areas by lines passing through the center of the image plane. The number of valid image data are counted, and information is produced on a position to which a calculation of image data is directed, deciding. The direction decided is determined by the highest count among the counting results. A direction of motion of a camera rotation table is based on the direction decision.

  • Patent number: 5303511
Abstract: A spindle apparatus for supporting and rotating a workpiece in a grinder. The spindle apparatus includes a workpiece spindle rotatably supported on a spindle head and driven for rotation by a motor, and a spindle plate mounted to the front end of the workpiece spindle and including an eccentric drive pin. The workpiece spindle has a bore in which a ram is axially movable. A center is fit in the front end of the ram. A unit is provided to advance the ram to engage with one end of the workpiece when the workpiece is to be supported. A rotary sleeve is rotatably supported on the front end of the ram and includes an engagement portion which is displaceable in the axial direction of the spindle and engageable with the drive pin in the direction of rotation. A driving unit is mounted to the front of the rotary sleeve to engage the workpiece in the direction of rotation when the ram is in its advanced position to thereby transmit rotation.

  • Patent number: 5130801
Abstract: Apparatus for superimposing a plurality of images to form one image for display includes an operation circuit for obtaining image data related to a next frame based on image data related to a present frame and differential image data of a plurality of images. A memory includes first and second banks, each having a memory capacity for storing at least one frame of image data. An address generator generates a display address which is used to make access to the first and second memory banks when reading image data for display. A display controller stores display image numbers which distinguish the plurality of images in correspondence with regions of each of the first and second banks, and a bank controller stores bank numbers of the first and second banks in correspondence with the display image numbers to indicate the bank from which the image data is presently being read out for display.
