  • Publication number: 20110268368
Abstract: An image processing apparatus creates a basic-structure component image representing an image that an input image except edge is smoothed while preserving the edge in the input image; and creates a detail component image representing an image that the basic-structure component image is subtracted from the input image. Subsequently, the image processing apparatus decomposes the detail component image into a plurality of frequency-band images through multiresolution transform processing, and performs noise removal on the obtained frequency-band images. After that, the image processing apparatus performs inverse multiresolution transform processing of combining the noise-removed frequency-band images, thereby creating a noise-removed detail-component image.

  • Publication number: 20110164336
Abstract: Since the surface roughness of a recording layer get larger in the process of fabricating a patterned medium, the spacing between a head and the medium is widened. As a result, the recording performance and corrosion resistance of the medium are degraded. In the patterned medium, a recording layer includes one layer of a crystalline magnetic film or plural layers of crystalline magnetic films, and a magnetic film of an amorphous structure located on the outermost surface of the crystalline magnetic films. The compositional elements of the magnetic film of the amorphous structure are identical to those of the crystalline magnetic film located immediately under the magnetic film. In a fabrication method thereof, the surface of the crystalline magnetic film is turned into amorphous in order to form the magnetic film of the amorphous structure.

  • Patent number: 7965341
Abstract: A color correction method, a color correction device, and a color correction program that can achieve color correction processing with a color table with a fine spacing, while preventing the increase in memory capacity. A signal (YCC signal) of a luminance—color difference system is subjected to matrix conversion with a matrix conversion unit 10 and converted into a signal (RGB signal) of a display signal system. The adjustment amount relating to the signal of the display signal system is stored in a RGB color adjustment LUT 20. An interpolation processing unit 20 conducts interpolation processing by referring to the RGB color adjustment LUT 20 and outputs the color-corrected RGB signal after correction.
