  • Publication number: 20230282356
Abstract: An automated system that selects an optimal combination of risk models for a target patient population. The selected combination may be monitored by clinicians to determine which patients are at greatest risk for adverse events or clinical deterioration. The system may compare risk model data for hundreds or thousands of models to data collected on a target patient population to determine which combination of models is the best fit for this target group. An illustrative selection method may minimize a cost function that measures the deviation between a model combination and desired features for an optimal combination. Illustrative factors in the cost function may include differences between the predicted risk distributions for the target group, using the model risk function, and the risk distributions for the dataset used to train the model, and correlation among risks predicted by the models in the combination.

  • Publication number: 20220412072
Abstract: A modular unit connection system for jointing together pre-fabricated rectangular modular building units to form a multistory building. The building units can be completely fitted out and this connection system allows for positive structural connection using liquid grout filled columns, without bolting or welding and without the requirement for access to the connections from inside the pre-finished building module interiors. The four corner columns of the box-shaped modules are steel square hollow sections. This connection system uses a unique connector tube passing from the bottom of the column above, through a horizontal connector plate containing a guidance system and into the top of the hollow column below, and then a system of grouting the inside of the column, from an access position on top the upper most module to form the final positive structural connection.

  • Publication number: 20220363471
Abstract: A receptacle is provided for holding a quantity of solid material. The receptacle includes a container having an open end, and a gate operably connected to the container so as to be rotatable to a closed position structured to prevent solid material from exiting the container through the open end. The gate includes a locking arm mounted thereon. A latching mechanism is operably connected to the container and includes a latch rotatable to a latched orientation structured to contact the locking arm to prevent the gate from being rotated out of the closed position. The locking arm is structured to move rearwardly and upwardly during rotation of the gate out of the closed position. The latch is structured so that contact between the latch and the locking arm when the latch is in the latched orientation prevents rearward and upward movement of the locking arm.
