  • Patent number: 10589623
Abstract: A vehicle transaxle comprising a plurality of mounting flanges fixedly mountable to an axle tube of the vehicle absent any additional structure for mounting the transaxle to the vehicle. The axle tube houses a wheel axle to which the transaxle is operably couplable. The transaxle additionally comprises a transaxle mounting collar that is fixedly mounted to or integrally formed with a housing of the transaxle. The mounting collar is structured and operable to have a prime mover of the vehicle mounted thereto and to support the weight/mass of the prime mover such that the prime mover is mountable to the vehicle via only the mounting collar absent any additional structure for mounting the prime mover to the vehicle such that the prime mover can be cantilevered from (e.g., suspended from) the transaxle, e.g., the prime mover is ‘free floating’.

  • Publication number: 20190097400
Abstract: A shotgun stick for use with grounding devices is provided. An example shotgun stick includes a housing and a drive shaft supported within the housing. The shotgun stick further includes a torque connector coupled with a first end of the drive shaft that receives a grounding clamp assembly. The shotgun stick includes a motor assembly operably connected to a second end of the drive shaft. In an automatic mode, the motor assembly drives the drive shaft so as to actuate the grounding clamp assembly received by the torque connector. The shotgun stick also includes a manual locking mechanism. In a manual mode, the manual locking assembly locks the drive shaft to at least a portion of the housing so as to preclude rotation of the drive shaft and allow manual actuation of the grounding clamp assembly received by the torque connector.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for robotic assisted surgery. A robotic system includes a localizer, a surgical robotic manipulator, an end effector configured to be removably coupled to the manipulator, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive signals from the localizer, determine a final position of a cavity creation tool used to penetrate a portion of a patient's anatomy based on the signals received from the localizer, and determine an implant insertion path for an implant to be inserted into a final implant position within the portion of the patient's anatomy, wherein the final implant position corresponds to the final position of the cavity creation tool. The controller is also configured to move the end effector with the implant coupled thereto such that the implant moves along the implant insertion path, and terminate the movement of the end effector when the implant reaches the final implant position.
