  • Patent number: 10342623
Abstract: Surgical systems and methods for avoiding injury to an anatomical structure are disclosed. According to some aspects, an implantable device configured to emit a detectable field may be attached to the anatomical structure. A proximity sensor may be attached to a distal end of a surgical instrument and may be configured to detect the detectable field. A control unit in communication with the proximity sensor may be configured to use the proximity sensor to determine if the distal end of the surgical instrument is within a predetermined distance of the implantable device. If so, a notification such as a vibration or alarm may be provided to a user of the surgical instrument so that the user can maneuver the surgical instrument to limit or prevent contact with the anatomical structure.

  • Patent number: 10326890
Abstract: A charging server stores records corresponding to each of multiple subscriber identifiers associated with respective mobile devices. At least one record contains a counter value corresponding to one of multiple counter identifiers. The charging server receives a request from a policy server via a network, containing one of the subscriber identifirs and a session identifier. Responsive to receiving the request, the charging server determines whether the request includes any counter identifiers. When the request does not include any counter identifiers, the charging server determines whether the record corresponding to the received subscriber identifier contains any counter values. When the record includes at least one counter value, the charging server establishes a communications session with the policy server and transmits the at least one counter value to the policy server. When the record does not include any counter values, the charging server establishes a communications session with the policy server.

  • Patent number: 10257366
Abstract: According to embodiments described in the specification, a method, system and apparatus for managing communication sessions using joint storage. One of a policy server and a charging server, connected to each other via a core mobile network, stores a database containing both charging data and policy data. The other of the policy server and the charging server, rather than maintaining a distinct database, routes read and write operations to the server storing the database.

  • Publication number: 20190048896
Abstract: A hydraulic component includes a piston and a cylinder with a piston receiving space in which the piston is displaceably arranged while defining a chamber, via which a pressure may be applied to a first end face of the piston, from a control chamber, via which pressure may be applied to a second end face of the piston which faces away from the first end face. A first hydraulic line and a second hydraulic line open into the chamber and a control line, which branches off from the first hydraulic line, opens into the control chamber. Due to the respective pressure ratio between the pressure in the chamber and the control chamber, the piston is displaceable from a closed position, in which the first and second hydraulic lines are fluidly decoupled, into an open position, in which the first and second hydraulic lines are fluidly connected, and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20190005480
Abstract: A method of configuring or changing a configuration of a POS terminal by at least one operator, in which an authorization of the operator by the POS terminal is established, in which after successful authorization of the at least one operator, the at least one operator carries out the configuration or change of the configuration, in which an identification feature for identification of the at least one operator is introduced into the POS terminal, in which this identification feature is used for authorizing the at least one operator. A method of associating a POS terminal with an operator, in which the POS terminal checks the integrity of the identification feature of the operator for identification of the operator, with which the POS terminal is associated.

  • Patent number: 9902043
Abstract: A cutting tool includes a plurality of cut-off wheels which are arranged alongside one another coaxially along a common rotation axis. Each of the plurality of cut off wheels comprises a blade body which comprises a plurality of cutting segments distributed around a circumference of the blade body, each blade body defining a central cutting plane. Some of the plurality of cutting segments are configured to protrude axially out of the central cutting plane. The plurality of cutting segments are arranged so that a segment gap exists between two cutting segments arranged adjacent to one another in a direction of rotation. At least a first of the plurality of cutting segments arranged in a first axial position is configured to be larger than a second of the plurality of cutting segments arranged in a second axial position which differs from the first axial position.
