  • Publication number: 20070072663
Abstract: Systems and methods for playing live casino games. The systems have changeable displays which portray virtual playing cards or symbols to live participants. Shuffling, cutting, dealing and return of playing cards are accomplished using data processing functions within an electronic game processor or processors which enable these functions to be performed quickly and without manual manipulation of playing cards. The invention allows casinos to speed play and reduce the risk of cheating while maintaining the attractive ambiance of a live table game. The systems can also be multi-user slot machines using the processor to associate or assign one or more symbols either with the virtual playing cards or as slot symbols in participant subsets. The participant subsets are compared to a predetermined list so that payoffs can be awarded on the basis of winning symbols or combinations of symbols.

  • Publication number: 20070053482
Abstract: In the CT imaging of non-homogeneously moving objects such as the heart or the coronary vessel tree, there is a problem that different parts of the objects are at rest at different points in time. Thus, a gated reconstruction with a globally selected time point does not yield a sharp image of such objects. According to the present invention, a motion of the objects is estimated, describing the motion of selected regions of these objects. Then, on the basis of the estimated motion, time points are determined, where these areas have minimal motion. Then, an image is reconstructed, wherein the data from which the respective regions are reconstructed, correspond to the respective time points, where the regions have minimal motion. Due to this, an improved image qualify maybe provided.

  • Patent number: 7117670
Abstract: A control device, in particular for working machines, such as wheel loaders, excavators or similar devices, includes at least one working tool (12), particularly a working shovel that can be actuated by at least one hydraulic working cylinder (10). The device has a control block for controlling the hydraulic fluid paths between the working cylinder (10), a hydraulic fluid supply (P) and a tank (T). The device also has at least one hydraulic accumulator (22) and a shut-off or stop valve (32). The shut-off valve has a controllable valve member (34) and is located between the working cylinder (10) and the accumulator (22). The valve member is connected in the transmission position for connecting the accumulator (22) in order to damp the motion of the working cylinder (10). A selector valve (26) that can be controlled by the control block (20) is connected in the feed line (24), blocking the line (24) in the non-actuated state.

  • Patent number: 7100371
Abstract: A hydraulic arrangement is provided with at least one pressure accumulator for a hydraulic fluid, a hydraulic cylinder with at least one chamber to which pressure can be applied, a connecting line, on the basis of which the at least one accumulator is connected with the chamber, and a control unit. In order to provide an electronic pipe break safety device, an electronically controlled on-off valve is mounted in the connecting line and coupled for receiving control signals from the control unit, and a signal transmitter, which is coupled for monitoring the pressure in the connecting line is also connected to the control unit. If a pressure drop occurs in the connecting line, a signal change is generated by means of the signal transmitter, whereupon the control unit sends a signal effecting movement of the shut-off valve to its closed position.

  • Publication number: 20060193430
Abstract: In cardiac CT, it is the goal to acquire data for a full scan as fast as possible. For this reason, gantry rotation is increased further and further, such that the G-forces on the tube of the devices on the gantry become a limiting factor. Alternatively, the temporal resolution of scans can be doubled by mounting two complete tube-detector assemblies onto the gantry. However, this solution doubles the costs for the tube-detector assembly. According to the present invention it is proposed to modify one of the tube-detector assemblies such that one detector has a reduce size. Then, information from another detector is used to supplement scanning results from the detector with reduced size.

  • Publication number: 20060178801
Abstract: In order to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust gas emissions in an internal combustion engine, diesel as well as spark-ignition engines, on the one hand by means of exhaust gas recirculation, but on the other to be able to use temperature-sensitive intake manifolds of economical plastics, a temperature sensor (12) measures the temperature at a definable point in the intake area, preferably in the intake manifold (9) where the highest temperature occurs. The amount of recirculated exhaust gas (1) is set by a control means (8) such that the temperature measured at a definable point does not exceed a definable maximum value, the boundary temperature of the material from which the intake manifold (9) is made, or is adjusted to this maximum value.

  • Publication number: 20060102241
Abstract: The invention relates to a suspension device for at least one drive part (10) that is to be cushioned. Said part can be connected to an accumulator device (12) by means of a first valve unit (28) and to a tank connection (46) by means of a second valve unit (34) in order to transport fluid. The device is provided with a pressure compensation device (50), which when actuated compares the respective prevailing pressures in the drive part (10) and the accumulator device (12) in order to generate a common pressure level. This permits the pressure level to be rapidly compensated in advance when the actual suspension is enabled in the form of the accumulator device, in such a way that the suspension pressure employed exactly matches the pressure of the respective drive part in the form of a hydraulic or working cylinder that prevails in the latter as a result of the preceding load actuation operations.

  • Publication number: 20050246251
Abstract: The present invention provides an automated settlement system and method for receiving appropriate information, monitoring and controlling the timely interaction between the participants to settle trade and to guarantee the irrevocable and inseparable exchange of cash against securities. Two market participants which have agreed to exchange securities against cash forward their request to the automated settlement system of the present invention. The settlement system takes over control of the further procedure by initiating and monitoring a timely transfer of cash to a trust account, initiating and monitor the transfer of securities from the seller's securities deposit account to the buyer's securities deposit account, and to finally credit the seller's cash account. The central settlement system is responsible for involving and processing the interactions between the market participants, the custodians/((I)CSDs) and cash correspondent banks.
